Johnny’s wife, Meredith, didn’t even look at the killer. He doesn’t deserve any of their attention for that matter but now he’s dragging them through this process and possible trial. Is it entirely his fault that the Gaudreaus have to go through this process? Unfortunately no. The judicial process should not include anyone who drives under the influence, let alone anyone who blows over the legal limit. Something has to change.

Defendant is was known as a hot head as I understand it. He attempted to pass on the right and killed to young men. He ran from the scene and he’s guilty as hell.

My guess is he's hoping for a better deal. He has no defense. He killed someone in the process of committing a felony (DUI). If he was sober, maybe that could be a defense but it's a slam dunk for the prosecution give the circumstances. Doesn't matter if he was upset, it's not about the "road rage" once it's been established he was driving under the influence.

@@steamyrv his children had no father for the holidays....just like Johnny and Matty's kids, wives, mom, dad, sister, cousins, friends etc. He killed two innocent men and his children are suffering now as well He already had a DUI on file and his license should have been taken away but we know he still would have got behind the wheel, cont drinking, get rid of evidence, flee the scene and fail sobriety test but his excuse is recent knee surgery. Rem he's a loving family man who made a terrible mistake...what a excuse for a killer...

No, it's not a fair question. A lot has changed in society and with the law since Mr.Mactavish was involved in a similar situation. I am certain Mr Mactavish would not condon Mr.Higgins actions.
