Round 2 opponent here, it was gorbag who got turned into a fine mist not zagdush, and yes the 3-0 was a minor win/loss sean's way. It's all good sean, the only thing I begrudge is the fact you work a 15 minute walk from my house 10hrs drive away from the tournament and that you didn't even make a token attempt on my camp. everything else is on the TO for giving that scenario and putting you on that board for it
@Competentetyler7 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear about tough draw. I’m curious how you’d want the TO to adjust this? Not include Storm the Camp? Relocate tables based on match ups?
@NoobsandMen7 ай бұрын
God are we that close to each other??? Tables and terrain let's film a bat rep. I won't use the list that shall not be named
@tedarnoldmoore7 ай бұрын
@@Competentetyler either, both, especially given we were both 12-0 after round 1 and sean had a really skew list that wouldn't have been nearly as oppressive on most of the other tables
@Competentetyler7 ай бұрын
@@tedarnoldmoore Interesting. I really haven’t heard of that ever being done outside of a few exceptions (Mumak, Balrog, etc.). I also think it’s a slippery slope to ask TO’s to assign/re-assign tables based on the match up. I know Storm the Camp is a less popular scenario in the tournament scene due to draws. But pulling the scenario due to style of play, nah, that can’t be right. It’s important that scenarios are included that different lists have advantage playing (numbers, speed, shooting, killing, defense, etc.)

@@Competentetyler I'd argue triple siege engine is just as skew as balrog or mumak

The field was super tight that weekend for sure. So many good players and you had a ripper run. I was the one to play against that player who dropped from top tables to 52. John was 3-0 day and had two rough losses day two to Jacob and I... So glad I didn't play against the Pancake Parlour. 😂

Definitely a great event! I went 2 draws and 3 wins, 1 minor, 1 major and 1 crushing. Was very surprised to find myself so low down the table, but the big wins definitely carry alot of weight i guess. Bit of on fence about how much i really want to sweat out games and get the major/crushing wins when it can feel like you are "rubbing their face in it". But i guess thats the competition scene when it comes down to it. Nice to chat shit and hopefully get a battle in the next tournament 🤙

Always good chatting shit with ya mate, hope to see you up north in QLD for the GT in Nov. It's a fine line to walk with how competitive you wanna be, and how that comes across to your opponents. I feel like for the most part I can be competitive but also give my opponents an enjoyable game. I say for the most part as my 2nd game I definitely didn't give my opponent an enjoyable game. -sean

Congratulations Sean with an almost perfect tournament! What is Michael Kerr Award? Challenge you Sean to take none shooting + siege weapon and end in top 3 in a tournament

The Michael Kerr Award was made in mikes honor after he placed 4th at Clash of the Titans multiple times in a row. I don't know exactly how many, but it was getting close to double digits from memory.

I have a few armies so I just select whatever it is I'm feeling at the time of list submission, id probably do better if I actually practiced with my lists before events. You are correct tho I'm a huge fav of armies with a good amount of shooting. I'm a very reactive player, so shooting fits my play style very well. -Sean

It's funny that this was basically a podcast, not a video. Still enjoyed it. But for next time if you want to increase the production quality, you could (1) put enemy army lists on the screen and (2) put a photo of the board up. Just grab 1 photo end of turn 1 deployment from a high up angle, so you can enjoy the game without thinking about getting more, and put that on the screen. Can scribble on it a bit when telling the story of the game too.

That was the plan and I had photos and videos of game 1. Then I forgot to do it for the rest of the games 🤣🤣. -Sean
