Man, I feel this through and through. Straight out of college, I got an entry level job. Was treated like a child, paid next to nothing for the city I had to live in to do said job, and I was bombarded with demands for 12 hours a day + a 2 hour commute, + sometimes I'd wake up early to go to the gym. 12-16 hour days. I was constantly exhausted. I was always a hardworking student in school, but suddenly it just seemed like the only return on my hard work was another thing to beat me down. Like the whole work hard to have a good life thing was a lie. Never thought I'd say this, but I started consistently smoking weed to escape when I got home from work, became hooked on it, and have only now kicked it, with some scars to boot. Plus switched industries entirely. That sh*t hit me hard for a WHILE.

I just recently walked away from my slave job and do things on my own. I’m much happier and can be there for my kids. @Ralphfili10 ай бұрын
Definitely the most important thing is to be there for your kids and teach them things that the rat-race recruitment factory (academia and society, in general, these days) won't teach them (or help undo what they have been taught already). Teach them your trade if you haven't already and show them how to do other things with their hands (learn together, even, if you're not experienced yourself yet) so that they won't feel useless when things don't go their way in the future (which is one of the goals of the system - to make everyone into specialists, at best, and make them believe that they need to go hundreds of thousands of dollars into debt on student loans and waste years of their lives for some bullshit degree/ certification for something that could have been learned in 1/50th of the time and for next to 'free' with an internet connection and a library card and a little bit of self-motivation and discipline).

I know that my quality of life has been lowered substantially compared to previous generations but i am being gaslighted by society into thinking that its not true. But i know the truth and to continue in this charade is kinda wearing me down emotionally, physically, and mentally. The Canadian gov doesnt care about its citizens though. Not to mention the animosity i am developing for the older generations that allowed things to reach this point. It seems like most were content to just stick their head in the sand thinking it wouldnt affect them, well guess what its doomed your kids future. Average one bedroom in my area is 1,600 a month, plus groceries, internet, car, insurance. No young people i know are even considering a family at these prices unless they come from a wealthy family. Its really depressing, i dont like when people look at me anymore because i feel like a loser despite having my own apartment, car, job because it doesnt cover all my basic needs despite paying well and i work fucking hard. It's been this way for a lot of people for quite a while. NOW it's in EVERYONE'S FACE! I remember 30 years ago coming home from work...1 beer...How will I pay the rent? 2 beers ...How will I buy groceries? 3 beers... Where can we get more beer?

This is exactly what the elites want. I have a great job and yet i still feel like a slave on the hamster wheel. Society is not about empowering individuals to be self reflective, seek GOD and seek balance in their minds and lives. It's all about making people controllable workers/consumers. People are actively discouraged from making progress in self realization.

Trudeau knows we despise him and want him to resign, so to punish us for rejecting him, he's going to punish us every way he can until he's ousted in the next election. Expect more taxed, restrictions, and wasted money.

I feel you American brothers, luckily this starts to shift in Europe. Big companies starting to realize there are too many people with useless degrees, and offering good money and insane benefits to those who are not afraid of manual labor. Also the life expanses and taxes here are much more bearable than in the US.
@crashthecat11 ай бұрын
@markasread4349 we get taught world history and politics not just that of our specific country or continent. The starkest differences i find are with math and geography. American students seem very proficient at math but hopeless at geography. Europeans lean world geography young and its common for us to know where most countries are on a map however we dont teach trigonometry or calculus unless selected in higher education.

This and the the things he says about woman and how they belong in the kitchen are all reasons that factored into him losing the title. He's too truthful and too deep, and that doesn't sell to the masses. He won that fight against DDP.

People who watch UFC are men who work out and practice fighting themselves. Studies have shown that men who work out have higher levels of testosterone and are more likely to have conservative values. Women don't generally watch UFC which is why the female fighters have poor viewership. Soyboys don't watch the UFC which is why he wasn't cancelled. I do agree though that ESPN, run by Disney, scoring the close fight made him lose. Sean did better, his opponent's face was much worse and absolutely swollen.

This is so true and this is why we must do what we can to avoid the things that make us numb, and listen to our hearts, or at least "go with your gut". Don't overlook what you know to be true and don't stray away from your feelings, because if you do then you're also straying away from connection with your peers and that will leave you lonely even if you're around them all the time.
