This your best video ever!!! It took me awhile from watching your videos to realize you’re actually not just a goofy guy doing guitar vids, but you’re actually really smart underneath the persona. For me this vid diving right into the material and skipping over all the camp at the beginning was refreshing. Your personality still comes through forcefully and it does make your videos very accessible. Keep up the good work.

Thanks to you I have been playing on Elixir strings, I'm no string snob, but I really do love the sound and tone of them. I was gifted a guitar by a friend who really didn't care too much for string type and the ones I had on before were not very nice to play on at all, the Phospher Bronze strings I now use feel so nice to play on.

I was a big fan of Ernie Ball Earthwood Phosphor Bronze Alloy Light until last year I decided to try something different. I bought a set of Elixir Acoustic 80/20 Bronze with NANOWEB. I love the nanoweb, the string brightness last for _months_ Now I'm using Elixir Acoustic Phosphor Bronze with NANOWEB, and I can't decide which one I like better.

Sean, I signed up for your beginner course. No. 1. I’m 80! 2. I’ve been playing trombone for 70 years. 3. Holding a trombone has warped my left hand fingers quite a bit. I’m in desperate need of the info on moving as little as possible to play chords as you demonstrate. But I’m a beginner, you are blasting through these hand positions a warp speed. I cannot decipher which fingers are doing what because I have no experience. I need fingering charts showing exactly what you are doing to move through these chord progressions. So I thought something this important would surely be in the basic course! I did a search in the lesson video section for the title of this video! Search returned a page of gibberish! In the lesson section there is no way to ask a question? If I can’t get a response from you here, I’m out of options, I’ll just ask for a refund. I’m old, but not dead…..yet! I’m still fighting to have fun before time stops! I thought your course could help make that happen. Help.

I see you have the box for the Nanowebs... Is that what your currently playing with? Whats your feelings about the Polywebs? Im also an Elixir guy. I have them strung on all of my acoustics. My all maple Guild is finicky about which version I put on them. Not sure if I put the Nanos or the Poly on that guitar this last time. These are not cheap strings so I need to get it right when I order again for the Guild.

Ah, but Grasshopper, old school G chord is played w/3, 4, 5 fingers, making transition to C and Am (and F,D,A) very fast and efficient. Tom Petty wrote 75% of his catalog on that theory. LOL Hi Sean, its been awhile. 8) Hope your doing well, are you still out in Ca.?? I stumbled onto Andrea's most recent video yesterday. Have you checked in with her? I don't recall her ever acting that strange!! She played part of a new tune, that was ok, but she seemed "way out there" with everything else! Hope things are good for you, and a happy NY!! 8) --gary

Very easy lesson to comprehend. It’s basically the busker chords. I teach most of these to my students right away. The ability to keep your ring and pinkie finger grounded helps beginners immensely. They dont get lost so fast. It doesn’t get much easier than this. For the person that plays in a band and said he got lost, wow. Not sure what kind of music you play but this is basic. He even explained how the chords are created from the scale. Not much theory required to understand this. And he showed you that once you get this key mastered which is simple you can do this in any key with a capo.
