Nice video! Looks like a really nice place! R.I.P. Do Do Dompa. You will be missed 😢

Thank you for the comment and thank you for the membership! Yep, Do Do Donpa will be heavily missed. I actually took out some of the dislike about the ride being removed as I thought I was being too hard on the park. Lol. I left in plenty. It was my favorite coaster. I initially panicked when I saw your comment as I thought KZbin was up to its old (and current) tricks of publicly releasing videos without warning. As soon as I logged in and noticed you were a member, I relaxed. Ha ha.

@SeanFlaharty Thanks for all that! I became a member so I could watch that video early and some upcoming videos early. Do Do Donpa sounded like a great ride. I guess if it injured some park guests they had reasons to remove it. Similar to Kingda costing $1 million to operate per year. I hope you got to ride it a lot!

@@michael7054 I had heard of the reports of riders being injured on the ride. I don't blame the park one bit for them removing it. After my last couple of rides on it, I realized it came very close to the too-intense-of-a-ride-for-everyone syndrome. I mean, it obviously wasn't a healthy ride if injuries happened. With each ride I have gotten on it, I leave with so much adrenaline that I almost don't feel good. It takes over an hour for my system to get back to normal after every ride. It truly was a ride that confused the mind. That launch was so fast that it honestly didn't look or seem real. It's all a very big blur. That is why it was my favorite ride. It confused me. Lol.

@@SeanFlaharty lol yeah. I heard someone say it was like being a bullet shot out of a gun. Yeah it makes sense if injuries happened that they would close it. Same with Volcano the Blast coaster and Kingda Ka being to costly to operate. It's good that you got to ride it as much as you did when it was your favorite ride. I guess you can be happy you got to ride it even though it's closed. These Japanese tour Vlogs are fun to watch! Japan has a lot of nice and interesting parks!

@@michael7054 I was a big fan of Hypersonic during its opening year and had a pretty good hunch that I would like it's faster sibling in Japan. Thanks for continuing to watch the series. With a bit of luck, the final part should be released to you sometime this upcoming. Saturday, depending on what KZbin figures.out about my channel.

Happy Thanksgiving Sean and also to Vince, Marty and Anthony. Coming to an end in this fabulous series? Oh well. Just like vacations. Everything fun does not last forever. You cannot get a much better view of the park than the one that you got from your hotel. Doponda was your all time favorite coaster in Japan Sean? I am wondering why they closed it? Too much money to maintain I am expecting. So cool to hear that you have a new favorite coaster at Fuji-Q. I will add Zokkon to my CBL. {Coaster Bucket List}. When I coaster gets your approval. It automatically gets entered on my list. I never heard of it until now. Congrats to Anthony on his 800th credit. Incredible coaster video shots. Better than ever. Incredible footage of Mount Fuji. Sean thanks for all of the added tidbits like the robot waiter who picks up the dirty dishes. How cool is that? My appreciation of Japan has grown immensely from watching all three of your award worthy series. Looking forward to part nineteen~ Rob/Boston

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, Rob! Yep, the final part in the series is the next video. Dododonpa was my favorite coaster on the planet. There was nothing that could compare to its intensity. Apparently it was so intense it was breaking the bones of riders, so they shut it down. Good reason to stop something for sure, even though I will miss riding it. The robot waiter was really something to see. it was the fist time I had seen that before. I was told there is a place in the city I live in that has the same feature. I haven't seen this local before. Maybe I will check it out.

Thanks for sharing. I totally agree with your views on Eejanaika, it's just not a ride I enjoy, I could feel every vertebrae in my spine and my ribs click and clack as I went round the track. I'm glad I have tried it, but I won't go back on it. I have ridden this and X2 and they're just not my thing. I am glad you liked Zokkon it's a superb ride :) and not many people talk about it. Also loved Takabisha too. Sadly on my visit Fujiyama was not operating.
@SeanFlaharty2 ай бұрын
I honestly do iwsh I could enjoy Eejanaika as rougher rides usually don't prevent me from riding too much. I know I was in a very tiny minority but I enjoyed riding T3 at Kentucky Kingdom many times. It wasn't too bad for me. Others think differently. I am the same way with both 4D coasters I have ridden. They are just too rough for me to not leave in pain. Zokkon rocked! It was so much fun. I enjoyed my one ride on Takabisha in 2019 but didn't feel the need to ride it on this trip. Having ridden its near twin in New Jersey and absolutely hating it, I decided. to not push it in case Takabish got rougher.

Great stuff, Sean! All I knew about the new coaster was that it existed. Very cool. Maybe they can build Son of Dododeonpa someday.
@SeanFlaharty2 ай бұрын
Ah! I would love to see if they could do something with the old ride. I mean, it does kind of look like they cut the track sections precisely. Perhaps they will re-use the old track for something.

The video I was most looking forward to! (Fuji Q being the only theme park I have visited in Japan). I'm glad you liked Zokkon, I really enjoyed it and rode it several times - surprisingly intense - even liked the music coming out of the coaster itself. Very sad to see Do Dodonpa being slowly dismantled, even sadder that I never got the chance to ride it. I think Eejanaika will always be my favourite coaster. Just curious - is shutting down outdoor attractions due to heavy rain a thing in Japan or a FujI Q-specific feature? In the UK (where it rains A LOT), I don't recall coasters being put out of operation for that reason - or maybe I'm mistaken or been very lucky on my visits.

I enjoyed the music heard on-ride as well. I am not the biggest fan of pop music and I do'n't know many J-pop artist but I thought the song being played enhanced the ride experience. I found the song , synced up to a POV. Search ZOKKON on ride ♪SEKAI NO OWARI/デッドエンド to find it. I wish I could figure out a way to enjoy Eejaniaika as it thrashes me around. I am not sure if my shoulders are too wide for the restraints or what but I have left that ride very sore. Both times I have ridden it I woke up the next morning with a lot of upper body pain. The rain thing is strange in Japan. Some parks will continue to operate in downpours, while others will stop everything with not a lot of rain. The last time I visited the park, they made similar announcements about the rain, but more ride specific. They would announce the closure of an attraction with a time frame. For instance, they would say "Dododonpa will close in thirty minutes due to incoming rain" or something like that.

That seems like a lot of money (2000 yen) for one ride ticket?
@SeanFlaharty2 ай бұрын
At the time I was at the park, it ended up being about twelve dollars (US) for one ride ticket, which I didn't think was too bad for a single ride. I spent a similar amount on my ride for Eejanika. It wasn't worth half of that ticket, in my opinion.
