thank you, this is useful !! zbrush is missing a spherical gizmo for rotation. like maya has.

I wish there was a way to prevent the left viewport from rotating as the right side is moved around and edited. Both views rotating is very disorienting

Yeah, I guess the purpose is to keep alignment when using reference though. But, yes, I agree, it would be cool to have the option of stopping it from rotating also.

Is there a way to make instancing not bugger up the size and positioning of the instance? Like I got something that I want to be precise, like a joint for blending two separate assets. I just want the instance to be offset by one axis a bunch, but if I had to eyeball rescale and move it about it's going to be somewhat off.
@SeanForsythTutorials3 жыл бұрын
Is there any chance you have a short video showing exactly what you mean? I'm just trying to picture it here and not really sure what's going on.
@Wings0123 жыл бұрын
@@SeanForsythTutorials I don't really know how to explain/show this. But well, the instance you created ended up being larger and offset from the 'original'. When I tried it my instance got rotated as well. It'd be nice if my instance could be in the exact position and size as the original.

that's cool, but what if I want to edit those pads further using symmetry? Been searching for ages for solutions on how to edit pieces in symmetry while they're rotated, but can't find anything, poseable symmetry and ArrayMesh are less than ideal and local symmetry only works on X and Y axis which is dumb :/
@SeanForsythTutorials3 жыл бұрын
Well that's what's so cool about this, when you go to Edit Mesh you are editing a mesh in the centre of the world so it is symmetrical while editing it. You can do anything you like with it then and then simply exit that mode when finished.

oh the sync view is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO disorienting! :(

There's not much control over it either I'm afraid.
