The French philosopher, Blaise Pascal, was a believer in God and certainly could be used as a witnessing tool to any French atheist! Just a thought! We all do hope that your husband will be touched somehow by the Holy Spirit and come to a saving faith in Christ! Unfortunately, France has been such a secular humanistic society for centuries because of Voltaire and Rousseau, that it affected the faith of so many in that country since then. The Catholic Church presence in France is a crisis of faith itself even for die-hard Catholics! We will continue to pray for you!

@@HasanUnknown if you actually read the Quran, it clearly states that Jesus is the son of God. It says that He is equal to Allah. This is only possible if He is God. It's basically a retelling of the passage in John 1. The Quran also tells the Jews and Christians to hold fast to the things revealed to them in the scriptures which affirms the Bible as God's word. If that is true then you should easily be able to deduce that Islam is false because it does not affirm that Jesus was crucified and obviously He cannot be resurrected if he never died. In other words you don't have a doctrine that withstands scrutiny, not that this is the only serious problem with Islam. I would recommend that you listen to Dr Wood, Dr Jay Smith of Pfanderfilms and Sam Shamoun. Also another good source would be Christian Prince as He was raised in a war torn country in the midst of a mostly Muslim population. He knows the language and recitation better than most Muslims do. This is so interesting to me because when I met my French husband he has been an atheist but had questions. His story is that while traveling he stayed at a hotel with a (Gideon's) bible in the drawer and he stole it (he later confessed this to our plumber who was a Gideon who laughed and said that's why they put them there) and started reading in Genesis 1. Because he was a huge history buff he devoured the Old Testament and was stunned to see that true historical events were in the Bible. I also dated him before he made his commitment to Jesus but I was conflicted...but my inviting him to Bible study is ultimately what influenced him. We since spend much time in France and it is indeed very sad how atheist the country is, and even most Catholics are not believers...I was touched by his grandfather's words to him, but those people are rare in France. I wish my husband and Guillaume could meet! We meet SO few French believers and they have much in common. We also have a nephew named Guillaume and our daughter's boyfriend is named Guillaume...go figure.

Great testimony // The Webster dictionary definition of faith is that faith is primarily blind acceptance in the face of “facts.” However this is the modern interpretation of faith. In classic western culture faith is not that what you believe blindly. That is credulity. Faith is what remains after reasoned argument fails to resolve paradox or unanswered questions. Post modernism has allowed “How”as the only valid question. They have not even answered this question to THEIR satisfaction. The ancients believed all the questions were in play. So then until all is known( Consilience) faith is Universal. A symbolic representation of philosophical perspective (belief) 0(0)=0, atheist reality is an illusion nihilist position (Everything)0=0, atheist relativist position (Lim_ 0->1)0=0 single universe atheist nihilist position (Lim_0->♾)0=0 multiverse atheist nihilist position (Everything)1= everything, Buddhist position Everything (everything)= everything, pan psychics Z_(n+1)=z^2 +c where c is start, deism evolution Z_(n+1)=z^2 +c where z iterates from 0, theistic creation // Consider: Put your belief system to a symbolic ( mathematical symbolism) and see if it correlates with what you see in nature. Sorry, but that is not the dictionary definition of faith. Here is a copy/paste from Webster's: 3. In theology, the assent of the mind or understanding to the truth of what God has revealed. Simple belief of the scriptures, of the being and perfections of God, and of the existence, character and doctrines of Christ, founded on the testimony of the sacred writers, is called historical or speculative faith; a faith little distinguished from the belief of the existence and achievements of Alexander or of Cesar. Basically, you're believing something based on the character and reliability of the author. Only a cynical atheist would reduce it to "belief without evidence".
@stormy77092 жыл бұрын
i was hoping to learn what evidence convinced this guy, but instead he takes about testimony being enough to show god exists. In that case, why not use Islamic testimony? Or random person down the street's testimony? The part about evolution was strange, I don't see how evolution and existence of god are related.
