It is hard to express how much I enjoy watching your videos. When the dogs are working in the field with the sheep it quite literally brings tears to my eyes. I had a much beloved border collie, a pet not a working dog, and seeing your dogs brings him to my mind and heart. Of course your dogs are very different. It is amazing how you have trained them to do such a wonderful job.

As always, it is a pleasure to watch your video. How competent you are! How quietly confident and self-reliant. I was at a wedding this past weekend here in Detroit and I met a young farmer who grows corn and soy beans. He and his one partner work 1600 acres. Two men working 1600 acres! Modern technology makes that possible. In the mid-nineteenth century, I believe that 50 acres was the typical size of a farm for a single farmer. I believe that many, many young men today have a temperament that would be best suited for farm work. They want to work outdoors and to be self-supervising. Unfortunately, there is no need for them on farms anymore, and so they must find other work that does not particularly suit them.
