I think we all go through those phases of being uninspired - that why there are so many videos telling us to just buy another camera and/or lens 😂

Ha, yes indeed Andrew; spend say £2k on a new camera and your bound to at least WANT to get inspired again!

Inspiration and creativity, interesting subject Alan, I don’t get inspired and I’m not creative, that’s why I always take the same silly shots of iguanas, birds, squirrels and other creatures on my daily morning walks (and the occasional street photo), the camera is always with me and I photograph whatever I see, having said that, I do enjoy photography (as you always suggest) very much. On a separate note, forget about the monkey, you’re doing just fine without any help. Be well and stay safe.

Enrique, you put yourself down my friend! Anyone seeing those great images of Iguanas and birds on your IG page will agree with me. Fine work 👏🏻

@@photographyforenjoyment Thank you Alan, but I keep repeating the same creatures because it’s what I see on my morning walks, maybe I should try some sort of landscape or seascape photography.

I feel the horizon was crooked on the images at 2:00 in. Hard to tell, kind of, since you couldn’t see a skyline. Audio sounded quite nice and I’ve always been impressed with the P3’s video quality. Enjoyed your uninspired infrared images that I thought were quite inspiring. And yes, I struggle sometimes with finding inspiration. And when you do find it, hold on to it as long as you can. 👍🏼👍🏼💜💜👍🏼👍🏼

You are correct TC, definitely a crooked horizon!

Really interesting images, sort of slightly dream like.

Thank you for the comment, yes indeed IR images do take-on a dreamlike appearance when foliage and grasses tend to turn practically pure white.

sage advice for those of us who have lost our mojo so to speak Alan. looked like a tough day for mono infra-red with that flat light. plenty of work for the contrast slider later I'd imagine?! for that first summer house image, would a quite heavy vignette work? I've been looking at some woodland pictures lately employing that technique, and I'll be trying it out myself later this year I think 🙂
@photographyforenjoyment3 ай бұрын
For sure the contrast slider had some 'welly' for those shots Nick. You know, I'm always hesitant to apply vignettes to any of my images, a hang-up from my film days I think. Maybe I should try it, for darker woodland scenes I imagine it can be very useful.

Hello Alan, less of the Meh please, I thought those images were great considering! Considering that sometimes some locations don't offer a wealth of photo opportunities, overgrown wooded areas can often just seem just a bit messy. You managed to find a focus point in the jungle of foliage, the b/w infrared worked well and enhanced the scene giving a sort of dreamy vibe. Inspiration? Well the first thing is to get out the door and chose a camera to take, any camera, the options will be different depending on the gear you have with you. Perhaps decide on a theme for the photo session, even take a prop of some sort, maybe some thing like a model car or a figure, or anything that takes the fancy, and see how it might be incorporated into a photo. Although I agree with you about people leaving rubbish about, I might have tried to incorporate some of it into a photo, the shopping trolley and the discarded cigarette packet might have provided an interesting angle on the scene. At the end of the day its the getting out that counts for me, somedays I might take a load of shots that I think will be great, then when I review them later its Meh! But it doesn't matter I have been out had a little exercise, enjoyed it, and with digital it has cost nothing. Cheers Alan, I appreciate the effort you put into producing your videos.

Thank you Steve, the rubbish was just a bit of a shock to me otherwise I might have thought about incorporating it into a shot somehow, particularly if I had a normal camera with me (or my phone duh!). Just goes to show how different photographers would approach the same subject!

@@photographyforenjoyment You should be commended for having a tidy up, in this day and age we can expect anything some people just don't care, Alan.

Great video Alan, I've recently bought an infared filter, so this has come at the right time for me, especially love the photos of trees around the lake, you've inspired me to get out there and try infared, thanks
@photographyforenjoyment3 ай бұрын
Oh yes Karl, get out there and give IR a try. You will spend more time in editing than usual, but in my opinion the results can be well worth the effort.

it happens derek 😞 then one day you'll take a picture you like and boom, back in the groove!
@photographyforenjoyment3 ай бұрын
Yes Derek, I agree with Nick. In fact sometimes you don't even need to have a camera with you, you just 'see' a shot and even that can be the catalyst to get your mojo back.
