You can watch Part 1 here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jaO5gIiXnbZgkMU This is why it reminded me of a Greek island: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKbKcnd-i7V7aK8 And here's some info that a viewer posted about the village: "For anyone wondering, the village name is Pousko. It belongs to a geographical region named Zhupa where many small villages near Prizren like this belong. People in those villages speak Bosnian and identify as Kosovo Boshnjaks. The schools there are in Bosnian and the local language is similar to Macedonian. Everyone is probably a Muslim. I'm from one of those villages. It's further south and close to the mountains. It's even more beautiful than what you saw there, you can see some of those mountains in the distance covered in snow."

Hello Gabriel, I am from that village and it's name is "Pousko", I'm glad to see someone from the other side of the world randomly visits exactly the village and the street where I live. I feel bad because none of the villagers knew to tell you more about the place where we live. Only the little girl who spoke to you is named Dila, not "Filla" who is actually my sister 😂

Hello Gariel, I live in Chicago but that village, Pousko, is where my mom grew up and where all my family from my mom's side live. We go there every summer and it is very beautiful especially during summertime. One of the little girls in the video is my cousin, and she does speak English but is very shy. This video went so viral among all the people in the village and almost everyone from my family has watched it. We're glad you payed a visit, and you should go again in the summer when everyone spends their time outside.

My God, Gabriel what an unbelievable trail..to reach this Fortress.😍😍 Dangerous hike, in my opinion, but your energy comes from the passion for exploring and always discovering great mountainous landscapes, always heading for the peaks. Beautiful villages, where people speak german, because they have certainly worked there. This was amazing, you're in great shape, full of enthusiasm and always go for the most difficult challenges. Thank you for bringing us with you through this valleys and peaks to Prizren. Kosovo is definitly unique. Best wishes for health and happiness, as always , from Paris 🖐🤙🍀

Love the videos. I spent a year living/working in Kosovo back in 1999. I worked as a police officer with the peacekeeping forces and was in the Mitrovica region. Your videos remind me of the good times I had there. It's truly a beautiful country and while they have done much to erase the scars of the war, I can still see some. I still have friends there and your videos make me want to return for a visit to see how much has changed. BTW, the dogs you commonly see in the villages are known as Sar Mountain dogs. They are, as you said, herding and defense dogs.

Hi Gabriel, Glad to see someone visit my village. The name of the village is Pousko and its about 5km away from Prizren. Currently the population is maybe about 100 people because the most are living in germany or switzerland and they visit the village just in sommer. The population in sommer gets up to about 500 people. Just the older ones stayed in their homes. The village is 100% inhabited od Kosovo-Bosniaks which are muslims. The route you took from village to city was actually used daily abot 30-40 years ago.

Hey Gabriel! Nice video! Those remains of the fortress where you are at the beginning of the video are the remains of the Old Upper Town of the fortress of Emperor Stefan Dušan, a Serbian ruler commonly known as Mighty Dushan since Prizren was the capital of the Serbian Empire from the year 1346 back then. That is why Prizren is referred to as "the Imperial City" by the Serbs. From up there, you can see below the Monastery of the Holy Archangels. The Monastery was the pious endowment of Emperor Dušan, built at the site of an older church dedicated to the Holy Archangels. You should check it out, it is worth the visit and you'll receive a warm welcome. :)

The man at 15:30 was pointing you to go to crkva, that is the Monastery of Holly Archangels. Hope I helped a bit! :)

Hahahaha 😂😂😂 how comes ? Do you know you Serbs appeared in Europe 600 AD, but never mind your propaganda has no limits. Do you know you Serbs used to call as Albanians Latins and do you know why? Because we were all Catholics. And when you Slavic people came turn all our Catholics churches in to orthodox churches and assimilated most of the people into Serbian orthodox. How it comes when our fortress and churches are dated at least 400 year's before you Serbs appeared in Europe and now you are saying they are Serbian fortress? Stop with the propaganda.its written when Serbs came to this part of this world. Every historian will tell you you Serbs are in this lands only 1400 old. Holy moly, what a cool series from Kosovo, the landscape is spectacular!! I am wondering though, how come everybody there speaks German, even the villagers but not English??? Especially given that people in the surrounding countries, Albania included, generally speak good to perfect English. What's the connection between this small, Albanian majority country and Germany??

very many Albanians work in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, that's the reason, English can also very many, especially the younger generation.

The Austrian empire. Much of the older people in that area speak fluent German. That's what an older Hungarian woman told me.

@@FA-zo1vd I see...makes sense. Are those german speaking countries easier on visa requirements and work permits for the Kosovars?

@@alexlarsen6413 As a Kosovar citizen I can tell you that one of the main reasons is that the German battalion of KFOR (NATO-led international peacekeeping force in Kosovo) are based in Prizren since after the war in 1999. The KFOR members took part in a lot of activities in the cities where they served such as: youth integration projects, sports etc. and helped the cities a lot through donations or other contributions. A lot of people from the city and villages were employed through their projects and took part in the activities - with the main language used in the case for Prizren being German, hence the connection. However, as that person mentioned above - having family members in diaspora has quite an impact too. Our diaspora is largely focused in Germany and Switzerland, so that's part of the connection too.

Exciting. But without a convincing narrative, chopping and interleaving footage out of sequence was confusing. It is a vlog though, not a movie.
