Good night, friend, I have a question. I have one just like it, but it only takes the first one, I will shoot for the second, the hammer does not stop, it goes with all the bolt, so the senate does not shoot anymore

After field stripping this, the buffer spring catches and prevents bolt cycling unless the trigger is pulled. Any ideas, as I cannot currently see any way to prevent the catch on the trigger notch.

I would recommend finding a manual and you can go a little more into detail. What you detail goes into how to some cleaning and also leaves parts of the disassembly out .

That's something you should see a gun smith about. You will want to look into re blueing the barrel.

I have one but it will not shoot.. all parts are there and together but will not fire.

Does it click? Dry firing is not good but try it to see? Do you have good ammo? Is the gun clean? Check the firing pin to.see if the end is mushroomed. Also, inspect your rounds. After you try to fire, check for a small dent and that will tell you if the pin even made contact with the cartridge.

What do you mean? The spring does hang out of the inner tube a bit. It will all compress as you put rounds in the tube, then the inner tube goes in and the spring will compress. Is.thwt what you mean or is it a different spring?

There is several things that could be the problem bent tube broken spring . To remove the spring carefully drive the pin holding the knob out ,that will let you remove the spring. (carefully it will fly )

I know it's an old comment but yes clean it first. Make sure your ammo is good. These say they are oknfornshort, long and long rifle. Mine does not like shorts. I would get fail to feed often as they dont have enough pressure to cycle it or so it seems. See my response to another comment on here about not firing. Click from the firing pin? Make contact with the cartridge? Good ammo?

Hey dude, your videos on this rifle have been SO helpful. Thanks for taking all the time to do this. I would love to see a complete tear-down next! The old manuals recommend soaking the throat for cleaning, it would be nice to see all the internals come apart for a complete strip and clean. I too inherited this rifle from a grandfather and would love to get it cleaned, moving surfaces polished and ready for handing down to my future grandkids. Thanks again for all your hard work bud!

No Prob! To take the rifle that far apart I'm pretty sure it would require a manual. How does yours shoot?

I have only had time to test about 50rds through it for assessment, its about an inch low and left at 50 yards right now, but I am sure with some sight adjustment I can get it dialed back to dead on. I am impressed considering it is at least 50 years old.

Good to hear! At 50 yards mine is similar to yours, not a very tight grouping. I wouldn't mind putting a scope on it!

I second the full disassembly, i bought mine as a parts gun and i have it firing, but it doesnt feed right. I feel like i have something in wrong or missing and i would love to see if i do. Its a great gun, it shoots better than i do and with the scope original to the gun its quite accurate
