Sears Suburban Garden Tractor Dozer Level Ground

I am using a Sears SS15 suburban garden tractor like a bull dozer to level the ground around my intex above ground inflatable swimming pool. barbecuegarden.blogspot.com/2... The garden tractor is a 1972 Sears Suburban with a sears snow dozer plow blade. With the angle blade attachment I plow 22 yards of dirt in a half hour level with the pool. The garden tractor has approximately 500 lbs of wheel weight and added ballast on the rear hitch, AG tires and 2 link tire chains. Glad to see u working that old girl.. I have the ss14 All original.. she ain't no beauty queen cause I work her.. and get laughed at when I bring her to cover a ditch or plow a garden until the plow drops then they wanna buy her. Lol!!! Gotta love these old Sears tractors. Great video!!!

Amen to not being able to find those at Lowe's. John Deere has some bigger ones that have the capabilities of the Suburban but bigger comes with a price tag- and not always quality. If you take care of it and restore it you can expect the Suburbans to last another 30 years. IIRC some were made by Roper at a plant not too far from where I live.

I have the Sears SS 14 with a Briggs.

There should be a bracket at the back of the foot rest, should have a piece of angle iron from there to bottom of blade mount, if not all pressure is on the front axle, ask me how I know. Thanks for the video.

If you have suburban, and you have the same SEARS plow blade, there is no provision to adjust the level. I also have observed this on mine when the blade is swung full to the right, or left, like when plowing snow. I have compensated for this by welding the cutting edge on out of level in my favored direction of angle, making it sort of self leveling as it is lowered. hope that helps.

Got a 73 st 16 I’ve restored, got dozer blade but I want to modify it so I can keep mower on at same time

sumptn wonky with the comments,,,, but the original sears mnt for the blade fits the mule drive slot in the frame and the lower mount is the axle, basicly you cant do both. Honestly, of the several 3 spindel decks i had, ALL were mashed in front by previouse careless owners. You prob could leave the deck mounted but you could not spin it. For me, i had more than one suburban, and this was the pusher puller. thanks for watchN

Sir, I dont understand, the mule drv it self is needed to spin the mower deck, the factory sears 'plow blade" use the same frame socket,,, explaine,,,,

@@ROCKNTV1 the mule drive pulley is welded to rectangular metal that slides over front of tractor frame , dozer has same rectangular metal that slides over tractor frame - if that makes sense - if I cut the sides off of dozer rectangular frame I could drill some holes and bolt it to mower mule drive rectangular frame -
