What weight rod do you use for SRC's? I run my 3# and have caught some big ones, a 19" and a 21". I'm guessing you run big rod in case you get a Jack or steelhead.

I generally cast a 5wt, but that also has to do with the fact that I‘m casting a tungsten bead-head fly on a fairly aggressive streamer line and a polyleader. That said, my last time out I took a 6 and 7 wt because, as you said… salmon! ;-)
