Hold on to those Salty Reflections. This was our first trip to Holden Beach. Beautiful beach to grow up coming to. We had been hearing about all the shells washing up there from the beach renourishment and we make a lot of shelling videos in SC so we had to come share our finds with our viewers. The shells and fossils that are washing up there are amazing.

Oliver, you have me wanting to hop in the car from New Port Richey FL and come up to Holden Beach! Wow! Is all I can say about all those shells! Beautiful apple murex! And how on earth did you sneak out there without Stephanie??! That was a juvenile FL fighting conch at 5:20. Unusual to see that way up there I would think. I know from watching you all shell in SC you hardly ever see one of those. Ok so Stephanie is sleeping in. I bet she was sorry later... Your favorite shelling Saltaholic says that was a BIG pocket for all those shells! Thanks, Oliver.

Yeah its so many people in Myrtle & a lot of tourists, so I bet any good shells get picked up immediately by almost any beach goer, even the ones not really even looking for shells. We have had a few people in our Fb group (link in description) post about shark teeth hunting/shelling in Myrtle Beach. & Holden too. As far as lodging, check out the video we posted recently on the house we stayed in while we were there, it had the realty info in it, you could check with them maybe. There were not any hotels located on Holden that we noticed or could find online. It's all houses & maybe a few condo style (like quadroplex apartments) homes. I've heard Ocean Isle is very pretty too though & not that far of a drive from Holden, if thats the only place you find, that's still not bad. Good luck! & Happy Hunting! Wow y’all had some great finds! I just really enjoy watching and listening to the two of you. There are some KZbinrs that aren’t relatable at all due to their financial backing and their lifestyle. You two are a breath of fresh air for people like myself who would have to drive hours to get to a beach on the ocean. As you can imagine that’s tough for a girl like me who loves the beach and shelling. Let me tell ya I don’t find many seashells in the fields of the Midwest! 😂 Hunting for artifacts is the closest thing to shelling where I’m from. I love that too but there’s no guarantee of finding anything. I know you all recently found an unbelievable artifact while shelling. How awesome! Anyway thanks again for bringing us along on your adventures. ❤️

We could have picked Shells up for days on this beautiful barrier island beach. We did.😂 We had a great trip and are truly thankful for the ones of you that really enjoy our walks. I bet the Artifact hunting you do is cool too. What's your best find or what all do you find? Here in SC people find lots of arrowheads.
@AHillard12272 жыл бұрын
@@SaltyReflections Honestly I haven’t found much that is too interesting myself. My brother and dad however have found some nicer pieces. Around here it’s mostly flint and arrowheads. I believe my brother has found some grinding stones and some impressive arrowheads. As a kid I loved it just because it was so exciting. Years later I started to appreciate the artifacts and learn more about them. We live in an area that has quite a bit of Native American history so much of the ground is protected. Luckily if you know the right farmer they’ll give permission to hunt their fields. I do believe the Carolinas are going to be at the top of my vacation wishlist. I would love to build a seashell collection from various beaches in the U.S. thank you again for sharing your beach time with us. I look forward to every video!!
