@@FilthyCasual96 If you want another tip btw, when crafting 70 yellow wep, dont make a scythe because it has 5 different "stats" to roll between (max essence), while Axe/Mace/Sword only has 4 because you can't get max essence on them, AND the mace have about 140 more base damage than the scythe, (0.17) slower attack speed tho but the damage is still more worth :)

Bit late to comment on this -- but a great way to get a Puzzle Ring is having a level 31 mule and gambling rings. Most classes only have 3 rings in the pool at that level, Broken Promises, Leoric's Signet and Puzzle Ring. Wizzles can get Manald, Barbs Band of Might, and Necro Julian's ring. This is also a great way for Barbs to get Band of Might as well, that 80% DR is HUGE early on if it doesn't drop leveling.

I'm kind of torn on upgrading the weapon. On one hand, it's safe. No matter what, you're guaranteed to get a useful cube item. The downside is rolling an ancient though. You wouldn't want to cube it at that point, because you'd instantly have a huge boost once you hit 70. An upside though is rolling an ancient that has level reduce. You'll be on T6 the entire way from 30->70. But at the end, you'll have 475 blood shards for upgrading your gear On the other hand, nothing beats Grasps of Essence. No other leveling method, no other class. It's the only cubed item that can potentially allow hitting level 70 under an hour of season start. But you might not get it. 80% chance, but that also means a 1 in 5 chance of not getting it. If you're lucky though, you could potentially get a weapon drop while leveling, which would save on death breath. 35 Death Breath. 1 for upgrading your blacksmith, 5 for cubing 1 item, 25 for upgrading a weapon. You won't be able to cube 2 until level 61+. But, there is another possibility, to run a T1 bounty set, which will give you 1 death breath in the cache, allowing for the possibility of two cubed items. The ultimate winner would be a person who rolls an ancient 2H Scythe with Level Reduce and gets the Grasps of Essence. That lucky fool would be looking at sub 50 minutes from season start to hit 70.

Nytegard the way I look at is, I’d do an upgrade of a level 70 item when I get to 70, so I may as well at level 1 It’s all R&G at the end of day 🤷🏻‍♂️

The way I see it is that you upgrade the weapon regardless. The only reason to not upgrade a weapon is because you might drop one. But those odds simply aren't something to count on. Bloodtide, Nayr's and Cycle don't drop until level 50, 70 and 61. Reilena, Spike and Trag'oul can drop early, level 20, 25 and 35, but them actually dropping is a whole other story. By nature of RNG it will happen to some people, but even if it does I still don't feel the level 1 cubed item would have been wasted since it got you to level 20+ to begin with. Once the 2-handed Scythe is upgraded you'll make a judgement-call. A vast majority will simply get their 100-300% damage modifier without a second thought. Only if the scythe is ancient AND has a high reduced level requirement is it worth considering not cubing it, since at level 70 you'd be looking to replace your 2-handed with a 1-handed and phylactery asap anyways. As for the gloves, unlike the scythe, you can wear them. Yellow gloves below level 61 are barely competition for a low-level Grasp of Essence. At 61 you'll get your DBs and can do whatever you'd like with them. Unless of course you got the ancient scythe with a high level reduction, then you may as well cube them, or wear them since post-level 30 nothing matters anymore anyway.

Lots of great info here. The Followers weapon is 5-7 damage the vendor is 4-7 damage but attacks faster. The Followers weapon will do more damage per corpse explosion. Use a level 70 2-hand Axe instead of a scythe because there is less stuff you are rolling against to get the reduced level requirements.The scythe can roll max essence which is a waste at this point. If you are like me and are not a pro at massacre bonuses, The Temple of the Firstborn is a nice place to level in act 2. kill the little guys and corpse explode the pack for an easy small massacre bonus. I start on Torment 1 at level 1 and go up to torment 2 at level 16 when I can equip the gloves. I can solo to level 70 in under 2 hours on patch 2.6.4. I tested this in 2.6.5 PTR and it was 1.5 hours. Skip the elites and bosses. Works if you are leveling a rat run group also.

Is there a buff to ancient drops associated with the season? I feel like this season is pretty lame to most. I think alot of people will loose interest when they don’t get their ancients after hours, days, or even weeks of grinding. I’m guilty of only playing a season for maybe 2 weeks before I’m crushing it and loose interest. Maybe..? this will extend my experience but with that said. The portrait and pet this season are repeats so the wings and stash slot are all I’ll care about. I decided last season I would play necro then ditched it last second for barb. Going to stick with necro this time. This has been very informative. Cheers.

It's not a bad option, but with Pets, you'll probably be okay. Maybe roll them instead of GOE, but I always find my gear falls behind massacre levelling, and if I can do it on 1-2 difficulties higher this season with the ability to extract a weapon in the cube, I'd rather have shards to top up gear later But you can go for them, you'll just have to craft more upgrades at the Blacksmith

I've never done group play, but I'd say if you are wanting efficiency, one of the players should probably pick DH and then carry you from the 2 piece, 6000% on melee weapon damageIf you are both doing Necro, and levelling together, I can't think of anything extra, but your chances of one of you getting an ancient Reapers is double a solo player, and you can then be carried etc. If anything comes to mind, I'll come back to you 👍

GummyGruffi challenge rift is a weekly game mode - at start menu, just below adventure mode It gives rewards but can only be completed for a reward once per week.

Actually you’ll need to make a seasonal char when the season starts. Log out do then do the challenge rift. If you do the rift before the season starts and you have logged in with a seasonal character the bag is not claimable in the season. Do not make this mistake.

Nikolaj Olssen Thanks I think Nayrs goes with corpse explosion and grasp of essence Blood tide won’t need the roll for gloves, but you could always blow them after being generated via Blood Nova Shadowhook just buffs everything so still gloves And the Maltorius is similar to the nova but as higher essence cost. So I’d probably still go for gloves as when you run dry in essence you can blow up some corpses But gloves only essential for 2 of them

WOW that's some very good guide, but there's some lil things i don't get. For example when you say to reroll a necro, do you mean making another lvl 1 necro to upgrade yellow to legendary, knowing you can only have two differents belts(including the one we want?), cause i'm actually trying this on our actual season, and i get a whole bunch of different belts. yo chan nearly right If you make a new level one character and then spend your bloodhards with kadala, there only a limited number of options you can get The item will be low level and have crap stats, but you extract it in the cube for its legendary affix If you upgrade a level 70 belt in the cube - the new item will be any legendary belt in your classes loot pool Good luck 👍🏻

It’s about 5% per go. 1 in 10 you get a legendary and there are only two possible legendary items - the circle ring and leorics signet. So 1 in 20 chance each time you roll But if you think in legendary terms, yes, it’s 50/50 Good luck 😁

you need an ancient anyway. best way is to do headhunts after you are 70 (grab all deathbreaths) and craft yellow scytes at the smith and transform it to legendary (cube reciep 3) ,-)

No, he's pretty shit for hardcore. I'm going him HC next season - some of the LON builds have incredible damage so I plan on dropping damage rings for defensive rings - Unity/Lornelles sunstone/Rogars huge stone etc and defensive gems like Molten Wilderbeasts Gizzard/Moratorium and working in Golemskin breeches into builds and Aquila cuiress where I can. Crusader and Barb are the kings of hardcore

Micael Jonathan I’ve played a decent amount of hardcore Necro and it’s certainly harder than other classes With Season of LON it’s possible to make some really tough builds (and most builds only drop 5GRs for Non Lon season) I’d buy the class pack - but I love D3 and Necro is my favourite class, but Damo is right, it’s tough to play HC with it

How long does it take to complete the season journey? You're talking about 5 acts of bounties and running a grift 20, along with some other bosses. Even with a group of 4, that might be 45 minutes at best. With just the ring & shadowhook in the cube, and wearing 2 random ancients (along with the wailing host & litany), and the rest yellow, I was able to clear a grift 30 in under 5 minutes. You get an Ancient Reaper's Wrap, and get 1 more ancient, and you're t6 ready. If you find a bovine bardiche, you could set it to t16, which will grant you about 10 legendaries from opening chests, or if you get lucky with spending your blood shards, and you're talking half an hour at worst. And every ancient adds to the power, let alone items that actually help in a LoN build.

Yes, that's it. You don't get any real damage buff with Inarius till the 6 piece, so I'd just jump straight on the LON if you can. The loot pool for Necro is so tight, it's very easy to stack say 1500% for 2 ancients, 400% for scythe of cycle and then 400% per enemy for Death Nova (for example) You'll be clearing higher levels very quickly - good luck

Okay - Thorns Skeletons is a high end build and really only performs well when pushing extremely high. It is pretty poor at running lower content. It deals very little damage until the thorns procs when it deals mega damage. So you can use it to clear crazy high eg 125 but it won't clear 80 much quicker as it is the burst thorns proc that does the damage. I'd recommend trying a different build - LON blood nova is fun on my channel, but plenty of other good peeps making build videos Good luck
