That was a brilliant video. You are a lucky man to have your grandparents still alive and able to talk about the early years. All my grandparents died by the time I was 20. My parents died by the time I was 40. My family history is basically lost. I am the eldest of 6 kids so the history is what I can remember and a couple of my siblings. Not a lot at the end of the day. Really enjoyed that.

Fascinating family history with personal stories and insights told graciously, I would give a lot to have a conversation like this with my parents and grandparents all sadly gone , thank you all

Michael I'm just catching up with some of your podcast videos and I would have to say that this is among the top three. I love listening to you talk with you Grandma and Grandpa. I do some work for a farmer who is their age and he has been married to his wife for the better part of 65 years 68 years. Listening to them talk as well as the farmer that I work for it's just inspiring and it makes me want to be a better person and work harder. He's not only an employer he's a good friend and I look at him as a grandfather and I have a lot of love for him and his wife. I have a lot of respect for these people as I do you. Take care God bless

I remembered a few weeks back when you you were talking about this interview and what it meant to you. Wow what a wonderful documenting tool. People passed away early in my life and i have only a small handful of memories of my family. You are a lucky man with wonderful memories. Take care of yourself and family. Happy Easter.

Thank you for sharing this one with us ! I spend a lot of time growing up with my grandparents like you did as well. I sure miss my grandfather a lot. He worked a company who did alot of landfill work and on Saturdays I’d always go to work with and ride in a haul truck like you Just got. I was only 12 when I would go with him. one of coolest thing I ever got to do as a kid.

Wow DP, thanks for sharing your wonderful grandparents with us. The world would be a much better place if we all would just sit down and spend some time with our elders. You truly are and have been a blessed person. You can see how much love and respect they have for you and you for them. Great roots!

Awesome Video Mike. Reminds me of my Grandparents who are no longer here. I was so close to my Grandma. Cherish the time you have llleft with them. Im sure you will, but I miss mine so much. I lived in Chesterfield Indiana for over 40 years. My Family owned Gaar's Nursery. We were one of the largest Nurseries and Landscape complies in Indiana. My Great Grandpa started it is 1888. My Dad and Uncle just sold it, a few years ago. It was 400 acres. I live in Phoenix now, but remember all the good things growing up in Indiana. I watch your videos every time you post. Your Grandma and Grandpa, remind me of my Family so much! Mike you are such a good man and hard worker. Great family man too. Keep the videos coming. Tell Grandma and Grandpa are awesome too!!!!

This was another great podcast Jason and Mike. I am just repeating what others have said, you are very lucky to still have your grandparents with you and your family. Spend as much time with them while you can and that goes for your kids. I don't remember either of my father's parents or my mother's father. My mother's mother died when I was around 18 or 19.

Your Gran should run for president, what a nice couple of people, your grandfather is a Leo just like me, they are as sharp as tacks, I loved how your granddad just sat back and let his wife get on with it, but always checked now and again just to make sure he heard what was said correctly, wished more people had people like those in their life, I never knew my Grand parents they all died before I was a year old, you are one lucky man, remember and ask them any questions you may need to know before it is to late.

While I've enjoyed your other podcasts, I think this is my favorite so far because I can relate to your grandparents. I'm only few years younger than your grandparents, and will pass 61 years of marriage next week. I think you should do another one of these soon. This time, you should prepare open end questions that will allow your grandparents talk more -- and you should talk less even if it takes a muzzle :)

Hey guys I have a request, and it may not be possible. Could you increase the audio somehow? I like to listen to podcasts while in the cab of my dozer and I just can’t hear y’all we’ll enough. I tried on apple podcasts too and it was the same. Love what y’all are doing and I look forward to more!
@JasonWorksAlot2 жыл бұрын
Is it just this one or all of them? We had some audio issues on this one that I know hurt the overall levels. The other ones are at the highest level I can get them to without distortion. The problem is the audio gets compressed when it goes up to KZbin and the podcast services. I haven’t yet found a way around this but I’ll keep at it and see what I can do. (I have the same complaint about some of the podcasts I listen to as well)
@AmericanTradesmen2 жыл бұрын
@@JasonWorksAlot the very first ones I absolutely couldn’t hear while running equipment, they’ve gotten better but still the podcasts aren’t as loud as the commercials. Except when Wade is on, then it kind of sounds like I’m eavesdropping on Wade while he’s on the phone (he’s all I hear 😂). I know to some degree how frustrating the editing side is, so please know I don’t mean to complain. You guys are doing an awesome job.
