Y’all, we’re aware of the audio issues with this episode. I spent 4 hours trying to salvage it to what it is here. Sorry for the outcome. Thank you to those who are dealing with it and trying to enjoy the content! Those who want to complain, not sure what to tell you. It’s hard to fire a guy who doesn’t get paid to work on editing a free show. 🤷🏼‍♂️ 😂🙄

You are using the Rodecaster Pro right? It has four mic channels, but you can expand this by using a channel expander, also called a combiner box. It has two XLR-inputs and one XLR-output, meaning you can hook up two microphones on one channel. There is a 10dB loss, so you need more gain on that channel and the microphones need to be the same. It is a cheap and good solution to work with more than four microphones and you have full control over the mixer and you hear everything over the headphone. In case you need more fixed microphones, I can highly recommend the Beringer XM8500, it is a $25,- dynamic microphone that is perfect for your application. Working with wireless microphones maybe more comfortable for the guests, it makes the recording unnesserary complicated in your case. With two boxes and four identical microphones you can hook up six in total on your mixer, I have never seen more people on the podcast. It is the most KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) solution for your podcast, even for Mike 😀

@@calebsimth4562 DP is loud to begin with. Two of the other have wireless mic on there collar. These work great for DP other channel. My guess just anything glinch. Only a few spot where i could hear but other then that is was good.

This podcast brought back memories of when I started working with my father in the Oilfield on winch trucks. I could talk about a lot of the things that happened then, now that that the statue of limitations has expired. Thanks for the memories, they reminded me of the good things and helped with the passing of both of my parents 2 years ago. Keep up the good work and I will be looking forward to future episodes and podcasts.

@@derekpritchard8854 wouldn’t have mattered, kleemans mic wasn’t ported into the mixer. I couldn’t hear him in the headphones had I worn them. His mic went into the video mixer as a secondary audio which doesn’t have live monitoring capabilities but don’t worry. I wore the fashion accessories for the whole 4 hours I sunk into getting the audio what it is. Just imagine what it was, maybe next time I’ll just spend the time with my family instead.
