Here’s my question: Was the justice league we killed clones or were mind controlled and brainiac simply brought them back to life? I’m asking because the dialogue of the squad gives (combined with the fact Flash has both of his thumbs) would imply that we legitimately did kill and brainiac was simply able to bring them back from the dead. Although if that’s the case, I have to wonder how brainiac is going to bring Batman and Green Lantern back to life. Sure you can give someone a prosthetic thumb, but those two had their brains blasted out.

I don’t mind seeing genderbent versions of characters from the Multiverse (in fact, I think it would’ve been pretty interesting if her entire universe was gender bent just for the novelty of seeing how confused Victoria would be by the notion of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman), but it is still pretty weird that they went with gender, bending Mr. freeze when they could’ve taken killer frost who is also a ice themed scientist super villain. Not to mention, she could help expand the law of Barry Allen in this universe since we would have another flash villain.

Back when the clone theory was first going around, I said this and I still stick by it: I don't think it helps anything. One of the few things this story had going for it was the fact that they did something as gutsy as killing off the League, and now they're taking that away. In the comics, they're never going to kill off the League permanently, but in a game they could, and yet they still chose not to. It makes it feel more generic and seems to go against the general atmosphere the game had. But I also don't think most people who hated the story are going to be won over by this. The damage has already been done; it's not like the fact that the League were clones recontextualizes what happened in any way. Harley still shot Batman on a park bench, even if it wasn't the "real" Batman. The only difference this makes will be if they want to move forward and make another game in this universe. And honestly (given this game's reception), I don't think that's a good idea. This was not the game to give us if you wanted to follow it up with a Justice League game. And even without this game, I'm not sure it was ever going to make sense to expand the Arkhamverse to include all of DLC. The Arkhamverse had plenty of crazy elements, but it still feels like a stretch for that Batman to join up with aliens, magicians, and demigods. And where Batman was at the end of Arkham Knight, it didn't really feel like Batman was in a position where joining the League would make sense. The Arkhamverse should have ended or gone in its own direction, and if DC wanted a Justice League game, it should have been in its own universe.

I suspect the entire "save the flash" part was due to the backlash of the original game. They, not sure who they are, realized killing the most popular heroes before we ever got to play as them would kill the franchise so they did a quick back peddle. After all of this is over with, Task Force X is going to rescue the League members one at a time, introduce a more fanservice-y version of Wonder Woman (Probably DCAU or Linda Carter inspired), then the League kicks all of their butt's easily because they're the "Real Deal" and the game ends on a high note because the Justice League gets set up for their own game. Obviously a JL game would be great! However... They should have just started with that, since this game is almost confirmed to be a $70 spin-off prequel to something coming up next. For all Miles Morales' writing problems, at least it cost $20 less than Spider-Man, and $30 less the the game following it.

I didn't like her design when I saw the leak; but looking at her in-game, I think she looks pretty cool! I don't like the ice hair though, kinda weird. And her personality and motivations are quite faithful to Mr. Freeze in general. Which is actually impressive coming from the current Rocksteady who took Arkham Harley and turned her into Margot Robbie (except a worse version of her take). Still not giving them my money, I prefer to watch this mess from the sidelines lol

I don't think there were clones at all, beside Brainiac using his 1st terminaut to integrate himself to change into the league members, and I rewatched the duality intro cutscene and also remembered when killing the league the bodies were phased away, and what do we see in the comic cutscene, Green Lantern's body with the purple veins around the eyes, with his middle finger being regenerated and his ring with water around it in a container, as long as the bodies were on the skull ship, their DNA were passed onto the enemies also check Batman Arkham Videos Batman Comms video, which could have foreshadowed superman infused forces. Also those speed force mines are the same from the original flash fight just more lethal than before and can be stopped with grenades, along with a freezing thunderclap instead of a venom frenzy thunderclap like in the original Superman fight and episode 2 Brainiac, and I think superman made icicles on the ground too

Only took me like a little over 2 hours to unlock Freeze and rescue The Flash. I had fun but this game still has the same issues It’s so boring just playing the same 4 missions from the main game with reskins. Freeze plays really well she’s pretty fun but like WHO IS THIS CHARACTER MADE FOR?? It’s a gender swap of one of the most favorite Batman villains 1 that has had a great presence in this universe. It’s stupid and obviously just screams hey sweet baby Inc is still here being stupid. Killer Frost was literally right there and the fact that all they did was just make weapons after her is beyond dumb when it should’ve been reverse. Killer Frost as the playable character and Mr Freeze weapon sets. It’s so dumb It’s nice to see that the leak of the JL in the actual game being evil clones is nice to see knowing that the heroes are actually still alive and didn’t get disrespected which I always figured but happy to see confirmed. They really need to just cut their loses with this game and say it’s non canon so much wasted potential.
