@@KillajoyYT Ultimately that is up to you to decide. I personally would not recommend investing in Darklords for Despia if your goal is to reach platinum 1.

@@SeanVS Despia Darklords are actually like top tier. The First Darklord is insane and the decks have great synergy together. I’ve seen a lot of them in Platinum, I just don’t think they’re as popular as the Shaddoll variant (probably partly because a lot of people already had Shaddolls built as opposed to Darklords)

@@jamesbrincefield9879I don't think you can use what you play against in Platinum as a good measure of what is top tier. In Master Duel, you cannot derank once you hit platinum 1. This means it's great for players to experiment and try out different things, as you have nothing to lose. But your personal experience in playing ranked will greatly differ from the next. That being said, Despia is relatively new to Master Duel so I can believe that you're seeing it more often because it's popular. Once I've done my meta analysis this weekend we'll see if its had an impact.

Dinos I obliterate any tier 2,3,4 decks. even eldlich. Seen many builds for Dinos but if you build it with other cards ppl don't know about its the the 3rd best deck in the game behind zodiacs and drytrons. Anyway, what do you think about armed dragon? I'm missing a few cards to complete it but I haven't really heard anyone talk about them. Which is good. lol. But I think armed dragons are very underrated.

So I’m a sky striker main and I do believe I’ve played that deck at a higher level then most decks I’ve tried I’ve I want to use a high level combo deck that has a lot of options but when I look at tri brigade it seems lack luster drytron looks op but benten just got limited so it has a bigger choke point imo really looking for a meta combo deck too swap it up would love suggestions maybe even a small conversation

Dope... I just downloaded Master duel and it is really clean. I played a lot duel links in my day and I know for a fact spending gems efficiently can make or break an account. What do u advise spending on for the crystals they give at the beginning of the game? My starter pack is synchro because yusei is cool.

Plan ahead how you will earn more gems over time. Clearing content is more important than Winning. A lot of content can be cleared without spending gems. Challenge yourself and see how far you can get until you hit a wall. Then you need to decide on what deck you will use to clear ranked and events. Treat every pack you buy as an investment and prioritize cards that will give you the biggest return on your investment. For example: Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring has been and will continue to be the most popular card in the game for years. The 30 UR crafting points to make it is absolutely worth it. This makes her immensely more valuable than crafting the archetype boss monster you may use in one deck only. In the video description are videos which inform you of the best cards to invest into. There are also breakdowns of the meta. In my experience. I started play master duel in season 2. And i build numeron deck. Numeron is not so expensive deck but it can reach plat 1. And right now i have tri brigade, adamancipator, eldlich, blue eyes, numeron. Just from 2 months playing and free 2 play. I suggest u build 1 good meta deck that can reach platinum. Then craft all the staples first. After u get all staples. Making new deck would probably only cost 150 ur points

I just started finishing building my Sky Striker deck recently. Would you please tell my why it isn't good as before? and why once the best dropped so much on the tier? i understand that special summon are meta but you can float units enough to atleast survive and change tide and atleast have a chance?

Sky Striker is still a very strong deck. There are many reasons why it is no longer as dominant as before. 1 - Changes to the Master Rule. In Master Rule 4, you could only summon extra deck monsters to the extra monster zone or to a zone a link monster points to. This was significant enough to narrow down the amount of viable options in the game. Most people played Link decks with Synchros, Fusions and XYZs used to supplement. As a result, most decks were mid-ranged decks setting up boards with 2-3 forms of disruptions at the most. Sky Strikers work well in a slower meta like this as they are able to find the right tool to pick apart an opponents board and then recycle those tools for later use. In Master Rule 5, the game has shifted from mid-range decks to combo decks being more popular putting up boards with threats that Sky Striker struggled to break. As a result Sky Striker players have resorted to using non-striker cards to do the job for them. But by doing so it means their archetypes toolbox is not as effective as it once was and thus the deck is less consistent. 2. Banlist Sky Striker has seen many nerfs over the years. I cannot express how insane the deck was when it had 3 Engage, 3 Widow Anchor and 3 Kagari. Having less doesn't make the deck unplayable but it means you have to be very careful when you play the deck as to not run out of steam. Expect most players to hold their negates for Raye and Kagari to try to cut off your ability to loop your resources. 3 - Format Sky Striker was the king of face-to-face duelling because it was the best at manipulating the pace of a duel. In RL Yu-Gi-Oh, players are limited to a 40 minute match. Sky Striker players were able to deliberately control the pace of duel in their favour so that would win the match overall. Quite often, people would agree that if a Striker player won Game 1/3 and more than 15 minutes of the round had past, that player was very likely to win the match. They could drag out game 2 as long as possible, surrender in the last 10 minutes then choose to go first/second for game 3. They could then summon Kaina to gain lifepoints and/or attack with Hayate directly to take off 1500 from their opponent. Then the winner with the most life points at the end of the round would be the winner. This isn't "scummy" or negative in anyway. Time management plays a massive part towards being successful in Yu-Gi-Oh IRL. Of course, that's not something you need to worry about in Master Duel unless you're playing in a tournament. I don't agree on the Dinos. I would easily put them Tier 2. Together with scrap package, this deck almost full combos out of everything. Appolusa, Kalibre Dragon, Tyranno and Evolzar are easily summoned in one turn. How is this not a "crazy" board ? Even if you stat with a very bad hand, you most likely can still put a Tyranno on the field, which is a very strong boss monster on it's own. You also NEVER want to start second with this deck like you said. It's fine going second with this deck, but why would you want that, if you can can win the game in your turn ? I play 13 hand traps with this deck and it's still very consistent. 3 Misc is obviously very OP too. Only downside is, that this deck is extremely expensive. You also have to learn all combos, which are not that hard, if you understand how the core combo works. i had 14 (!) game winning streak in plat. This deck is VERY strong.

@@ericanderson6157 They are not. Its like a variant of the toxic burn decks. Easily suppressed but carried by the wall you call Timelords. Lets be honest here FTKs would destroy Timelords and you know it. Alot of these decks also have massive OTK potential. One opening is all they need and gameover for timelords. They do not have the answer to stay consistent enough to defend and constantly get the burns off. Then many of the top decks have variants that ignore the presence of your timelords by attacking directly. They would burn you much quicker than you could burn them.

@@Psykroids you're right but it depends how you make it. I also run infinite light, kaijus, and eldich, and superdreadnought rail cannon gustav max. It don't have a chance against tribrigade or dinosaurs but can take out some other popular decks like, blue eyes, utopia, and most synchro decks.

Words to thundra are just inaccurate. Colossus isnt a threat? Sure it gets beat by dark ruler and droplet, what doesnt? Doesnt end on enpugh negates? This deck regularly at minimum ends on colossus and a 3 mat appo without grass combos... 3 mat appo is what tri ends on with revolt in a busted hand. Poor options going second? Probably the only actual criticism, but still has accesscode and titan is a powerful card going second for busting boards, the deck can regularly play through 2 negates before being folded, and usually plays well through a maxx c, since can just 1-2 ss colossus pass. The worst part of the deck is the lack of space for handtraps, but this deck beats every deck you have in tier 4 except for Pend Magicians (Going second) and beats every other deck in that tier going first and second. And has an extremely good matchup vs drytron and trizoo going first, eldlich going 1st and 2nd. It only has the problem of getting folded by dytron going second but trizoo even has a tough time going 1st against thundra. The deck should be in tier 3 because it explicitly is good against all the tier 1 decks, and just has bad matchups against a couple of the tier 2 decks. The Grass Thundra deck explicitly is brutal for other decks to deal with because they need to hold an ash for a potential Grass or Reasoning, and you often cant risk negating the normal of say a solitaire or uni-zombie due to the express punich of Grass, Reasoning, Gold Sarc, Allure, or any of ten trillion high advantage cards in that deck, which can semi-consistently end on a Colossus, Titan with 1 Pop, 3 Mat Appo, and a Level 7 Generic Synchro of their choice (a 2/3 Mat Borreload Savage if theyre lucky). The deck requires such explicit knowledge that most players dont have to play against it (Ie knowing to hold negates for specific hit cards or else your ash just gives us fodder anyways, not running nibiru out the 5th summon, etc)

Most tier list videos are based on peoples personal opinion and experience. And those who use data often only count the winners of a tournament. For years I have witnessed, first hand, people be mislead by click-bait Yugituber videos making false claims about the meta. Unfortunately for the people who aren't familiar/more experienced this can lead to frustration as they spend their whole time preparing for a tournament under false pretences. Seriously, I have friends who have lost £100s making a Blue-Eyes deck or a Ninja deck because a video they watched claimed it was Top Tier. No tier list can ever be completely accurate. What's popular today will be countered tomorrow. Master Duel is pay-to-win. It's important to me that people get information that is as accurate as possible. Although even I'm not perfect.

Actually, tri-brigade is the best Deck of the format and not drytron, at least according to masterduelmeta's information. And before drytron was obliterated by the banlist (TCG), tri-brigade always had a better performance in tournaments than drytron (tri brigade won more tournaments than drytron).

I love MDM. I encourage everyone to support the site. They are an amazing community that truly just want to promote and encourage healthy competition. The website's is absolutely incredible for general purpose use and will serve most of the community just fine. But it does have its flaws so try not to treat its results as "conclusive". I'm not sure I can agree with your statement about Tri-s position in the TCG. At the time Drytron and Tri were most relevant, official play was suspended worldwide except for the 2021 Remote Duel Invitationals. For you to make that statement, you would have to be judging the performance on Tier 1 Level Events like PPG and those should always be taken with a grain of salt.

Creating a list based on tournament results when yugioh by nature is a game that relies on luck and strategy is just yikes bruh. Not to mention one has to factor in the number of those decks being played percentage wise. In tournaments if only 15% play adamancipator and 70% play drytron herald which are both meta decks near the same level, then of course the probability of certain decks winning more is there. There's too much data to judge decks based on tournament success alone. That doesn't work for any competitive game. That's like saying Jin in Tekken 7 is a B tier character because he hasn't won tournaments. It doesn't stand on its own as a solid power level ranking.

My data is based on tournament data. It is not based on personal opinion or experience. I compared the results of 51 tournaments. Sky Striker has failed to win a tournament in Season 2 or Season 3. It has only topped. If you are confident in Sky Strikers ability to perform, partake in a tournament piloting the deck and send me your results. Not your opinion.
