Hi there , what condition is your bowsprit? They are known to suffer from bad rot .

yes, mine is bad. and is on the list of replacement parts. haha. only the wood needed for a new sprit. is not so easy to find in Florida. even getting someone to ship it is hard to do.

roughly 500 usd just for a rough cut piece big enough to make a bowsprit.

@@sailingpillager4685 Hi ..I actually have a bowsprit for your boat I had the same boat a number of years ago and had a one-piece solid spruce bowsprit made by a very skilled shipwright. I had the spruce log shipped from Washington State. If you're interested. Regards Paul.

Nothing worse than a man flue are you going to place a beam or clamp the lower edge of those brackets so they dont pop off the rails when your swinging the donky around? get well soon cobber, the doctor perscribes som Rum for that sniffle and if that don't work just add more rum🥃🏴‍☠
