I'm just doing Rep on sod here and there and getting rank 7 on my hunter/rogue then doing arch on cata atm waiting for P4 sod and P1 cata

people have burnt themselves out but blame Blizzard for not having enough content. 3 day lockouts on ST would've burned people out even faster no matter what people think they want. 10 vs 20 man is debatable, as a person with an active guild, i think 20 man is fun but I can totally see how and why lots of people hate it. Cata is new content for many and I can see why they are drawn to that version of wow, especially at this point in the phase. not to mention certain issues regarding wildly imbalanced pvp and incursions and such. People will come back in droves though for lvl 60 content.

I logged onto my main for the first time in a week and my guild had died in that time. There were multiple ST raids happening and now there is nothing

😂 I play all the WOW versions retail is fun to solo and delves sound fun! Classic was fun until SoD crashed and half the good went back to Cata classic ! And MoP remix me and my homies are going to play

Sod is only about 20 hours of game play. I am playing cata until phase 4 comes out.

Yh it's weird i saw guy go lvl 50 in 2 days with incursion and ST doesn't have alot of exciting loot imo, however it's not 20 hours if u wanne experience multiple classes, but then again people are toxic to alts/new chars

My guild is raidlogging sod and playing cata for the most part. I expect most of our guild gonna balance sod and cata once next phase is out

It's cool there's something for any type of player. But it is dividing the playbase majorly. I think phase 4 will be rocking and popping. Level 60 is the best part of wow. Plus we're gonna get a new raid as well gonna be interesting.

Keep in mind we are getting MoP remix and Cata Classic is booming retail also has an expansion really close to coming out and they are in a pre patch 😂 and I’m playing them all! Soooooo SoD is kinda lame with no content right now

My SoD guild died as well. But the reason is mostly parse culture and ST (shade) and lack of content / work from Devs more than other versions of WoW.

it toook me to the end of p3 and maxxing out my single rogue to underfstand that p4 is the goiing to be the same gatekeeper trash. Will be minor upgrades after minor upgrades once again., and as a rogue ive been using mutilate (1 ability) and it hasnt changed since p1 LOL never will and thats sad nothing else is viable. The raids and new shit they add might be fun but im getting out before this soaks up too much time for too little reward.

It’ll be legit raids however and tons of choices for prebis, that’s what people look for to get into raids, not like ST here where prebis is high level quests or gnomer bis

Remixes has carry over rewards into retail, it's free with sub and even the MoP xpac isn't required. After Remix of a "modern" MoP who is going to want to do classic MoP all over again next year

Retail lacks what I've always wanted... a viable melee hunter build. Now if Remix MoP's new gem system is an official version of "runes" for retail. Then retail will have to offer me what SoD offered me. A fun new paradigm for my hunter to explore in the modern age

BTW.... Phase 2 was a blast for me because I took your advice and leveled a fresh toon doing the 7 Dark Riders and Sleeping Bag to 20. Was a hoot and thanks for the heads up it could be done. I was the guild's experiment for P2 before 3 dropped and loops and runs turned my realm and guild to shit. Lava Lash here. Some of my peoples are now your peoples.... leaving a hunter's paradise behind. All rares spawned for taming and zero line ups in the bad lands. It's as if the remains of the Lash were reverted back to P1 in a mirror universe where World of Warcraft was never a big deal. My old guild.... 120 players logged at once was just another SoD weekend. Today on the Lash.... we had 120 alliance on realm wide. And 30 of them were 50s. SF HC could flourish here with our dead AH and economy.

And Horde on the Lash... almost total annihilations. I imagine most of the Lash's horde are with you now or quit the game. Raider wise. 2k alliance flooded WG the first night. and 1k horde went to CS. We are now a realm of caretakers, over a shitload of inactives, that will wake up P4 and experience no queues to get inGame. I imagine some realms, may experience queues, as level 60 and the actual end game phase, opens up in June. Won't be any line ups on the Lash P4. And after dinging 60 here. There's still the free option to go CS or WG for the rest of endgame and beyond. Whatever comes after a season of Classic Minus

I think it is ok to have many versions. 1 full server is all we need.They are all diferent. I hate retail since cata. So classic for me. The probleme is that all versions are getting bad...

More options are never a bad thing, if the game is good people will play. I've been playing a lot less sod lately because phase 3 has been terrible imo, it has nothing to do with any other version of the game.

They made the raids in phase 2 and 3 of sod too hard. Just did ST last week, holy crap it’s hard. I can only imagine trying to pug that. It pushes people away hence lower sub numbers

Yeah my guild died and now I only do pugs. Groups usually get to Shade and someone rage quits if it’s not one shot (in my last pugs case, warlock tank freaked out and left.) Just that one person leaving ruined my entire weeks lockout and ended the raid for my week there. Not too mention all my ST pugs take 2+ hours to form. Also no one wants to heal, too many damage dealing players or hybrids who don’t want to heal.

2:02 they failed to copy Everquests TLP (time lock progression ) they literally hired staff from EQ to recreate it, but then failed over and over and over again if they wanted to do it right they should have copying it EXACTLY making each expansion its own phase , instead of breaking each expansion up into 4 phases

respectfully, these last few videos feel a little lazy. I understand having to pump out content as a smaller channel to appease the algorithm gods, but give us some excitement? staring at the ugly ground of Ogrimmar EVERY video has gotten stale. maybe show you actaully playing the game?? ultimately, aside from the video about professions, these last few topics have been obvious filler. doesn’t matter if there’s “too many” versions of WoW (wild take btw) or if “sod is dying” yaya clicky title. this is actually deterring us who unsubbed in p3 to even bother coming back.. when content creators should be hyping us up.. some food for thought. I say this as constructive feedback as someone who’s viewed & enjoyed your content for a while now.

Unfortunately it’s the professional side of creating, these discussions type videos have done better then any gameplay guide I’ve done, I did one two days ago and it performed terribly in comparison. The SoD devs have been completely silent as of late on any new news. Im struggling to think of things, so I want to look into some hypotheticals or interesting topics, I just try to talk about topics about the game and inform people. My conclusion in the SoD is dying video was that it’s maintained the same raiders from p2 to p3 only drop off was p1 to p2. I’ll do my best to make more interesting topics for you and I’ll fly around instead of afking in org

Def needs to be rimmed. But I refuse to go to retail. This will sound like an odd critique but I think it looks terrible due to the super zoomed out perspective. Everyone runs so many mods and plays the game looking like its a moba. Not my jam.

I see all of this like WoW's last breath before it vanishes into void. How long can you "milk" classic? Is retail doing enough to bring new players in if they do things like MoP remix? This nostalgia train was never long lasting across game releases outside WoW. It can be graveyard of all different versions soonTM.

Maybe MMOs are going the same way as RTS from the late 90s. Once huge but people change and move on. I think alot of people see the elitism and gatekeeping and don’t want to bother as well which is a community problem and not a dev/game problem.

Been away for a while. SoD i feel has been filler content. Vanilla has been experienced so many times. I wonder if Season of Mastery had a similar drop off at this similar time. Classic servers just cant compete with these new fresh ideas. My Oce Pve server Pennance is dying. Next classic project needs to be different from Vanilla. IMO you can still put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig!
