There's a certain... groundedness to the whole thing compared to the previous records. The albums before (Relentless Mutation less than Lucid Collective) just were all out, Relentless was a lot more settled in the whole style and this appears to just take that exact impression one step further. All is still cranked to 11 but it all fits so homogenously and doesn't sound like everything wants to happen at the same time anymore (with absolutely no disrespect :D). Feels a lot more matured within the band's own style. Love it.

Because they write catchy riffs AND come back to them within a song to make it memorable. Even in this song, they introduced the main riff, expanded on it, then reintroduced a variation of it as a breakdown at the end. There's a structure to latch onto. Most tech death change riffs every 3 seconds and never repeat a riff in a song - yes it's progressive and 'tech', but dunno how anyone is supposed to remember that.

Well I know how some people can play so god dam fast The guitar has tapping and tremolo which are insanely fast also string skipping sweep picking some of these are very hard techniques to learn also pull offs I can go on guitar is really possible to be this speed but again it’s insanely difficult to pull off barely any bands want to go 300bpm or 250bpm Bass same reason as guitar it’s possible but a lot more difficult because 1 longer stretches and 2 you might be forced to use finger style due to thumping or slaps Drums are the easiest get a double kick and hit the snares high hats crash Toms and Kicks as quick as god dam possible and hold the crash to mute them The singing I legit have no clue how that’s possible it’s trying to do 2 things at once which is insanely quick rapping which is insanely difficult and god dam insanely difficult metal voices which is also insanely difficult Over all achrspire is legit up there as animals as leaders or cannibal corpse for the hardest riffs I ever seen

Outstanding. I love how each member gets their own color. Spencer finally gets a proper showcase. Jared's bass sits well in the mix. Dean and Tobi with the absolutely disgusting riffs. Oliver has outdone himself. Claire did an amazing job capturing this performance. Merch preordered. Now we just need Good Morning Handsome to come back!
