This was really interesting on a conceptual level, but I think your video would be better served if you cut to some footage / screens of the actual locations or technologies he's talking about. A talking head is only so engaging.

Hi I am a Brazilian with 17 years old and have the same idea for the future, let's just leave the sand to plant and extract minerals, and the whole rest of the population on boats and huge platforms, so what I want to do is something like this me make to world a better place, I that this sound crazy but if you I want someone with ideas to share just contact me.

Great idea Lisandro. the future is safe in the hands of people like you

Creative people of goodwill, which want to make this world for a better place, should united and keep contact to each other, so that we would be ready for this day, when the time will be right and we could make our dream to reality and create our own country, the first real country of freedom on this planet, free of any slave system, free of any government, with just few simple and clear rules of life. It's sad, that even in 21th century our governments are trying to take more and more control over us and want to make of us nothing more as simple slaves with limited rights, which only destination is to work whole life and paying taxes, so that they could continue their living in luxury, slowly our freedom will be lower as in a dark medieval times, so the revolution need to come. I live already 20 years with a dream, to create new country/ new society (for example to create some huge new island on international waters), where all people who biggest wish is to be free could live there.

That's a good idea. I think we need to build near Singapore or build on the ocean floor. And our things should be environmentally friendly and help fish etc and clean up trash.

If buildings would be rotatable, they could work as sails and by that you may avoid hurricanes. Additionally if these could be constructed in a way so they would serve as anker for space elevators there maybe synergies.

Just googled space elevator. Scifi sure is imaginative
@kinngrimm Жыл бұрын
@@chayblay what exactly made you believe i didn't? Sure Sci-Fi is imaginative, it is practicly the bases of all fiction and as you may know at times they imagine correctly. I mean communicators (is an often used example from Star Trek) to connect to anyone who has one in the world , when you take a step back is easily seeable as magic ;) and yet now there are smartphones making people dumb. Obviously someone in advertisment was looking ahead of time.

Anybody thinking seasteading is new should look up Jacques Fresco designs. Seasteading maybe a new name but rebranding old ideas does not make it really new. But as technology advances it makes it more an more possible to really create these advanced designs.

Q:Tell me about seasteading oh wise one. A: We are going to build a city on the sea. Q:What about waves and weather? A: Ah, we are not worried about that. We have magical Polynesian genes and stuff. Also, Ayn Rand. Q: Well it sounds like you have everything worked out. I will buy a room on your floating palace within which I will store my collection of crystal glassware and priceless Chinese vases.

The cost to build and maintain structures in the ocean is extremely high. For example man made sea walls cost the government tons to maintain, so much they just dumped old ships in the water to create reefs that maintain themselves. This idea here doesnt make fiscal sense when you see how much room we still have left on earth

When he said 200 I was waiting for him to say '200 thousand' - the fact that this only serves 200 people is unfortunate and dissatisfying.. I can't see what dilemma or problem this solves if it can't support any sizeable population nor provide anything besides misappropriation of $ in ungodly transportation and importation fees. Shaking . My . Head.
