Nice wee stable there. My wifes got an r32 and ive got an r36. They are old now, unfortunately. Still low miles though! Like these cupras, some very tempting lease deals going.

Code out the sound actuator on the Seat, it is too loud in my opinion. The VAQ is awesome and you can really get onto roundabouts so quickly for a front wheel drive car, in the dry at least :-)

Good vid. I do agree with some of the interior comments. The touchscreen is placed higher than the Golf so it's a matt finish to reduce sunlight glare. I bought BROTECT Screen Protector Media System Plus 8" from ebay and it gives the glass effect for the touch screen, only £6 and arrived from Germany within 4 days! It does make it look better. As for the noise, the 2 cars use the same sound 'aktor' It's easy to disable via OBD software or a five minute job to physically unplug it (it's a little hockey puck sized thing on the bulkhead) one cable, easy to do. You definitely made the right choice!

Yahoo. Get mine the mid to end of June. I have been told by a Seat mechanic, that although they are badged 290, they are really 300s. And after looking on Cupra forums that seems to be the case. Can't wait.

@@hesgunnagetyou Yes, just like the older 300. It is the EA888 Engine that is used in the Golf R. And the Audi S3. Same as the Cupra 300. 👍

Over the same run it was about 5 mpg. So not a huge amount.

Great video, I’ve ordered the same Seat Leon Cupra. Do you still get the DSG Bangs/Farts on upshift? I’ve heard people saying that the new ones don’t sound as nice as before.

No the gearbox is very quiet compared to previous cupra’s but for me that’s no bad thing.....

You do get a few DSG bangs on the MY19 with the OPF/GFP filter. I found mine does it now after 2500 miles. I let 1000 miles pass before I tried Cupra mode :-).

I might be a bit late, but come on, the Golf interior is hideous. The Seat is far better in quality and design. Seat is so underrated. Why did you get the Seat if you don’t know it’s history of the Cupra brand.
