New subscriber here and really enjoyed this trip out, canny weather for it as well mind. I saw you on Andy Wardle's video of Angel Tarn and I was up Place Fell on 25 March on a similar day, cold start but boiling by the time I got to the top. Going up there again in a few weeks with my son so we must make sure we call in on Angel Tarn on the way down as it looks, as you said (and one of my favorite sayings) "Well worth the effort" . Cheers Alan.
@garnforaratch7 жыл бұрын
Hiya Alan, Subbed you back mate, thanks for subbing and taking time-out to comment. Place fell was the intended destination for that meet, but the group decided on Angle Tarn. The weather god's looked after us, that's for sure, we got lucky. It was warmer on the hill than the campsite. Aye, 'well worth the effort' is something i say quite a lot, because it can be a howk with a big pack getting to those high places...lol. Will check your vids out. ATB R&D

Great as always , i wish i'd kept my Akto because i've got 3 tents , a 1-man , 2-man and 3-man that are all roughly the same weight ( 2.4kg ) !! Diane looks good in the Eddie hat . Its a good life..... we're lucky to live in a peaceful country and do what we do. ATB and i'm sure we'll meet again some sunny day lol !!
@garnforaratch7 жыл бұрын
Hi Eddie, Yeah were fans of the Akto, cracking little tent. Good to have a selection, you can tailor your needs, regarding weight etc. Diane has her Enan now, she is very impressed with it, it's the 600 kerlon version packed weight 1.1kg, unbelievably light and very sturdy when pitched. This years model is kerlon 1000, some of the bigger stockists still have the lighter version. Should be getting it on the hill over the easter break, i'm pondering now...lol. For a long distance walk it would be great. Oh, the hat get's worn and my hip flask is on every trip. Happy Easter from the ratchers! Your 'back oot' soon, look forward to the vid. Aye, we sure will meet again, no fear. Take Care...R&D
@ScotsWildcamper7 жыл бұрын
1.1kg !!! Me codpiece weights more than that lol. 600 kerlon never heard of that , i'm very happy with my tents but for 6/7 day trips like the one i did last year and future longer backpacking trips a lighter tent might be worth it for me ! I like headroom more than floorspace , yeah you'll notice the buff in most of my vids , cheers ! Happy Birthday Diane ! X ATB Eddie.

Hi Bez, Sadly there aren't many summits with trees in the uk, the sheep graze constantly on the high slopes, keeping even the grass shorn to millemeters. We like to hammock too, so relaxing we find. The clarity and long range views were awesome, that view at the end was once voted as the best in the whole of the British Isle's, think i agree. Thanks for watching...Roger & Diane
