I have been watching a sort of pattern with the ACES over the last 5 games or so. Every game one of CG, KP, JY, TH TOGETHER with Aja is getting to put up major points. I think it is being done deliberately to get everyone one of their top FIVE or SIX in shape particularly for the much anticipated Liberty vs Aja series.

Far too many sport Fans that really don't know nor understand all that much about Pro Sports, are always targeting a given Coach. The ACES literally drafted Number 1 in the WNBA draft for 3 straight years. That resulted in getting Young, Plum, and the unanimous MVP Wilson. Yet the certain fans are expecting the Storm to just handle them. I mean really.

This series told a lot about this Seattle team and the Vegas Aces. Seattle has a strong defense, but their offense is so limited. They need shooters! Having Nneka bail you out in an already congested mid range is a terrible offense. Gabby is great getting downhill. Unfortunately, Seattle's offense doesn't have the spacing to maximize that. Vegas, on the other hand, showed it takes a lot to truly stop their offense. Only 5 Aces scored tonight, and they still got in the 80s and won! I think Becky Hammon also showed she's a great coach. They did enough to get by Seattle. They'll have to be better to beat New York without home court advantage.

A 2 game win streak does not a sweep make in my opinion. Not sure why WNBA thought this format was fair. Guess it makes regular season seeding twice as beneficial as any other sport. Yet, let's boo hoo lowering the rim to see some dunks in the WNBA. In 2 years, the league will be back to obscurity after the Caitlin Clark effect wears off.

@@willthomas2310 The NBA play way too many games in the regular season and in the playoffs, The superstar players might be paid excessively but they suffer huge wear and tear to their bodies. Yes, as the WNBA expands one can add more regular season games and have more best of five rounds in the playoffs, but hopefully they will be better spaced and not go the route of the NBA. Too many games leads to tiredness and more injuries, and too much mental and physical pressure on the players. The health of players should be paramount. Also, I don't want to see players play injured as winning becomes too important. At times, the players need to be protected from themselves, for example, should Caitlin Clark have played after the face strike in her first playoff game? I would have, at least, given her more time on the bench before she was reintroduced into the game.

I don't understand WNBA's playoff schedule. How is it fair that the lower seed doesn't get a chance to play on their home court before a series winner can be decided? The only reason I can surmise is the cost of travel for the teams. I'd like to see the playoffs extended to best of 5 for the first two rounds, and then best of 7 for the finals.

The only reason why this game stayed close is because of Official #11 and Gabby Williams. All his calls were favorable to the Storm. As good as Chelsie's passes were, she did commit a lot of turnovers in the second half, but a clutch bucket in the 4th quarter when needed.

The ACES literally are starting 3 overall number 1 picks. So something is horribly wrong with your judgement. Plus two of the starters for the Storm are 34 years old with another being 30 years old. But the ACES have Three number 1 picks still young and still in their Prime. The Storm didn't get Gabby until real late in the season. Next year she starts the Season.

When Ezi hits the 3 at the 4:31 mark, the score changes to 10 (at the 4:21 mark) and another 3 pts get added to the score at the 4:16 mark (just as A'ja is hitting the 3...Seattle's score is updated).

Gabby has been in the W, this isn't her first time. She prioritized playing with France, which is why she didn't play in the W until after the Olympics (also, the W's prioritization rules sometimes causes players to miss the W season all together). Ezi was just coming back after being in concussion protocol...she came in and made shots, she got into foul trouble which didn't help her stay on the floor. Seattle as a whole needed more time, the good thing is, there is always next year.

@rollerphone She has played for Seattle the pass 3 yrs. In 2022, she played and started all 36 games. Last year, she dealt with a concussion that kept her out for a lot of games and really, only because of the concussion was she even able to play in the W (prioritization rule), and this year, due to the Olympic prioritization by her French team she didn't join Seattle until after the Olympics.
