my all time sonic team would be Sikma at center Haywood and rule at forwards Dennis Johnson and Gary Payton at Guards hell I know no one will agree with that, but I know we will all agree that bob Blackburn would be behind the mic that's with no doubts . rest in peace bob you were the best and thanks for the post mark brings back memories of when parkland was safe

Later that Summer in the NBA Draft, with the First Overall Pick, the Los Angeles Lakers got themselves The Magic they needed to Dethrone the Sonics from the NBA Championship Title.

The Sonics blew it when they traded D.J. They could've kept the same unit together and won more titles.

Bart Bell The same Dennis Johnson that was supposedly A Cancer to the Sonics? After the trade, Sonics Coach Lenny Wilkens stated “Trading Dennis Johnson was like Cutting out Cancer”.

@@Jiltedin2007 I know that they wanted him out. But it makes no sense. D.J. was probably the best player on the team, and held them together. He was the glue. And the MVP of the championship. So what if he was a whiner, or a little feisty. He played his heart out for Wilkens, and the fans. And fit in with Lenny's defense and fast break scheme.
