Seattlite here!! Well I live in the suburbs but I do love it here, even in the winter. The scenery is amazing. I would also recommend wine tasting in Woodinville. We have amazing red wines, close second to California wines.

(THIS IS LONGER THAN I EXPECTED SORRY!) hey, I am local from Seattle! She definitely gave some amazing suggestions for first-time visitors, but I have a couple suggestions I'd like to add!!! I am kind of sad she didn't mention Chinatown and West Seattle/Alki Beach!! Our Chinatown, right next to downtown, is pretty crappy compared to most cities but the food is incredible and you can find some really cool shops around there too! Also, there's a pinball museum, an Asian museum, and a place where you can tour a fortune cookie factory where you can get some fresh cookies afterward. These places are pretty awesome if you're looking for something to do during the day. West Seattle is also a really laid back place, a good place if you're looking for a brunch/lunch spot. Alki beach is like a smaller version of golden gardens and has the BEST sunset views during the summer. I do not recommend driving here as parking is limited and you'll most likely end up walking far unless you spend the entire day there. It also has this ice cream shop/burger place (Pepperdock) that is really popular with everyone. There are also some other good restaurants and I believe a pretty small, yet popular bar, in the summertime. Also a great place to get a good walk in and get an amazing view of downtown and the space needle. I also suggest that if you're staying in Seattle for more than a couple of days, venture off into beacon hill and Georgetown! These two neighborhoods have some awesome bars and breakfast spots. Everything will definitely be a hole in the wall type place, but there are some gems!!! Seattle is such a big city so don't be afraid to check out other parts besides the north end!

I love Capitol Cider! I took my friend there when we visited Seattle. We went to Tavern Law after. A little more fancy but still a good vibe. My family lives out there and I always get so pumped to visit. My mom took me to La Push, Sol Duc, and Snoqualmie last time. I’m in love.

If anyone wants to do all the “tourist things” in Seattle, I highly recommend getting a City Pass. You get a discount and there are fab things to do! Also the Boeing Museum of flight isn’t too far, you can hop a train to head towards SeaTac and check that out too.

Daytrips to Vashon were always fun when I lived in Seattle, as well aswalking the public dock in Edmonds! Late spring and early summer at the Ballard Locks and experimental gardens were great too! I grew up in Kingston with my dad working on the ferries so taking the ferry ride home from Seattle to Bainbridge was always beautiful at sunset after a Mariner loss....

I went to Seattle in 2016 and loved it! We were there for 3 full days during the summer. It wasn't too hot, coming from some one who's born and raised in LA.. We got an Airbnb, for about $75 a night. We stayed in Wallingford. We also rented a car because we wanted to go all around Seattle and lakes/ waterfalls and also drive to Canada. We would park in middle of Seattle and walk everywhere. I'd recommend downloading trip advisor and save all the stuff you wanna do then look at the map and divide parts of the city by different days. For example, day 1 do downtown and day 2 capital Hill. For night life we ubered. I'd recommend getting the City Pass if you're going to be doing downtown museums and attractions. I definitely agree with Taylor, what I loved about Seattle is that you have the downtown hipster life but there is also so much lakes and greens, it's breathtaking. The coffee shops are so great too! 🤗

Ella Bailey Park in Magnolia has the best view in the city. 100%. Kerry Park is where everyone takes their homecoming pictures, and Ella Bailey is a bit of a hidden gem and no one is ever there. Also UW red square has a great view. the best food in seattle is Memos in U District. There's also one in Everett, and two in the Tacoma area. 5 Point is a bar and its 24 hours and its mad lit, and Beth's cafe is greasy as fuck and is a dive restaurant but it's super fun. aLso get outside of the city for a bit. Lake 22 in granite falls is beautiful, eagle falls out near skykomish is also super nice, and rattlesnake ridge in north bend/issaquah is a great hike. Mukilteo is really cute and you can take a ferry to Whidbey and Friday Harbor which has the second best ice cream in the state (the first being full tilt. best location is columbia city. don't go to molly moons. its expensive as hell and not worth it, but if you go to hello robin get the ice cream sandwich). Up in Stanwood, you can also go to Fort Casey or drive through deception pass and go to oak harbor, which has a drive in movie theater.

Great video! I’m a born and raised Seattleite and you did a great job. I would add a stop at Dick’s drive-in for cheap and tasty burgers, fries and shakes! The Dick’s deluxe is a must have. The one on Broadway is great and the one in the U-district has great people watching 😊 The arboretum is a great place for a picnic in the summer too!

I lived in Puyallup (about 30-40ish miles south of Seattle) for 6 months in 2014, from May-December, and I left a piece of my heart there! Like, one day I will move back. The PNW is the most beautiful place ever to me, and this video just made my heart ache to get back!! We went into Seattle for my birthday weekend the end of October, went to this place called The Triple Door. They did Nightmare Before Christmas play thing, it was really awesome!

Andrea Fairchild if you feel like completely getting out of the city, go to crystal mountain and take the gondola up to the top. Trust me, you won’t regret it. There’s a little restaurant up there and a stunning view of Mt. Rainier. Plus the little town you drive through to get up there (it’s called Enumclaw) has some really cute little shops and amazing food as well.

So so happy you made this video! I've actually been a subscriber for a few years now, but I moved to Ballard like 5 months ago. Every thing you said was soooo spot on! I uber pool to work downtown every morning and its usually between 2-4 dollars. Such a good deal in my opinion. I work right next to pike place but never go because I can't handle the crowd. Totally agree that the best places are outside of downtown. Biscuit & Bean in Ballard is good too for breakfast and coffee and C&J's eatery in Belltown has amazing brunch. I love Seattle

The most fun I've had in Seattle was out of downtown. We went to this amazing concert in a back alley, went to one of those dinner and movie places, had Ethiopian food. Seattle is amazing, all you havta do is start walking and you'll find something awesome.

the edgewater is absolutely amazing. and this whole video makes me wanna move there (my husband was raised north of seattle, and if it wasn't so expensive, we'd live there now)
