I’ve never got why people buy pattern bags for these expensive vacuum cleaners it’s no wonder a lot of them get thrown out i have a miele C3 cat and dog and would always use the genuine bags

@@beko1987 We get the Felix bags quite cheap at work and as such we have a good supply of them, handy as they usually get replaced weekly due to a mix of filling up and stopping smells.

Any idea about what part 5 and 16 in the schematic do? Valve disc and valve cover? If you look down the bag container and at the motor they're off to the side. Air bypass? I'll say that it's a good vacuum, owning one it works well enough .Though the fact that it's only *700 watts* made little sense to me, until I looked further into it and saw *government overreach* (both EU and UK) "The vacuum must not exceed 900 watts, because things are more efficient now, so measuring things by power and not actual suction makes complete sense" I fucking hate shit like this. Especially the way it makes zero sense. Had it been a "Watts to air-watts" (suction multiplied by airflow) requirement, that would have made sense, but hamstringing a machine by power alone, nope, that is dumb. Especially when these machines have variable power, so having it on 100% isn't necessary. That is the air relief valve. When the machine gets blocked up it opens so the motor doesn't cook itself! The EU mandated drop sucked (😂) originally where manufacturers just dumped a lower power motor in a machine that used to have a 2000w motor in, but now they've redesigned alot and mote tech has improved their not bad nowadays for using so little power. When my stepmum wanted a new vac I got her a dart 1 with a 1300w motor in and just stuck a Felix flowery filter on it for her 😂

@beko1987 Thanks. I figured it was something like that. So I assume that if the machine is bkocked/hard against carpet air circulates up and through that valve rather than down and out the exhaust? Reason I'm asking is I bought used (no 5 year warranty where I am so no reason to pay 3-4 times as much) and the pre-motor filter has a black area just above where that valve is. I assume it's carbon from the brushes as the machine will become 'blocked' a fair bit when using the hose directly against carpet and upholstery, so if that's all it is, no real need to worry. The current filter seems to be in good shape the than that, but I got a new one anyway as the pre-motor filters aren't to expensive and the exhaust one is only a out 75% black with white spots on it still. Regarding the 900 watt max, it has me pretty irritated. I've seen people online saying (coping really) that motors are more efficient now and the designs are too and they are, but not by a huge amount and it's not like SEBO are exporting their old motor/mechanical designs to the non-European world where wattage can be higher. It's probably the fact that the limitation is based on nonsense. If the problem was electrical usage, regulate watts to air watts, if sound, regulate total decibels. Though I'm repeating myself here lol. Will probably just get a second, industrial, wet and dry. Though I would love to see aftermarket motor suppliers. Or just have the manufacturers skirt the regulations by selling "50 watt vacuums, 2000 watt motor and installation tools included in the box, however if you install this 2kW motor you need to add the big" Not for household use" sticker to the vacuum and only use it for industrial jobs, wink wink" Finally, thanks for the info on that valve.
