Cyndi hasn’t gotten the recognition she deserves. She’s one of the greatest singers alive. She’s a living legend. She can still hit the high notes, just like back in the day. You should check out the live performance of Money Changes Everything. It’s one of her most memorable.

Part of what makes her such a great woman is the self-confidence to let other women shine. A lot of stars are not comfortable with that.

what also makes her a great performer is that she gives the spotlight to her band as well. Her first concert recorded for official VHS release (no DVD's yet) was in 1987; showcasing the True Colors album and of course She's So Unusual ... talk about energy and singing. Madonna gets a lot of credit and exposure for being a mega trendsetter and influencer for women in music, her fans seem to or like to ignore the fact that Cyndi was also just as heavy in influence and setting trends for generations. Rather than request another Cyndi video/performance - I will request that you take a deep dive into her catalog - go beyond the 80's. She's not just pop, she knows how to rock like the rest of 'em.

Dude - LOVE your reactions and love of music!!! You really have to react to The Animals - House of The Rising Sun. This song was recorded in one take in the 1960s! They drove from their home in Northern England to London, got their instruments out, went in a studio, recorded it and left. Studio rentals are expensive. If you are unknown, you hit it and get out. "I've got one foot on the platform, the other foot on the train. I'm going back to New Orleans to wear that ball and chain". Anybody who has ever been addicted to anything or fallen off a diet knows that feeling - the addition being stronger than you. Eric Burdon's voice was amazing. Also, please experience The Righteous Brothers - I Just Wanna Make Love to You - OMG!!!!!
