Great podcast. Although I am a Mizzou fan, I have always respected and liked Sam Pittman as a man and a coach. I would love to see him succeed, but this years schedule will make it difficult to have a winning seasons this year. I hope Arkansas can give him another year to turn it around.

There is alot of recency bias in the coaching rankings, but I understand it. If it was a year ago those rankings would be completely different. I'm sure they will look incredibly different after the season as well. There simply isn't alot of SEC experience among the current head coaches. Outside of Kirby and Stoops, every other coach has 4 years of expeeience or less in the conference at their current job.

You look at Huepal, Drinkwitz and Stoops, stoops has had two good years winning 10 games along with two citrus bowl Victories over Penn State and Iowa, id take him as a coach over both.

The Oklahoma sooners will be fine. Oklahoma has never put out a bad OL. They have a top 3 OL coach.

Specifically, for the top 3, he means only Alabama & Georgia have had more NFL draft picks at the OL positions under current OL coaches.

Yeah, talent and coaching really weren't the question, it was more of a "how long does it take everyone to get used to new things and new people?" matter. - Chris

@@southeastern16 Fair question. To that, I say OU had OL uncertainty in 22 & 23, iirc. But, last year OU’s OL handled the vaunted Tx. DL most of the game, despite Sweat and Murphy. Instead, it was their supposed superior and experienced OL that gave up 5 sacks to OU. So, I expect Bedenbaugh to have it ironed out by then. It seems like he always does.
