Anyone wondering why victims take years to speak...it’s because of the humiliation and lack of trust of people after something like this and also the fact that finding someone to help the victim when they reveal their experience with an actor, in this case, the main start of the show, would cost everything to so many. Finding someone to help them at the moment is not that simple. And if they do, it’s very difficult to get people to step forward with them and make themselves the subject of controversy. Especially in Hollywood where getting there is so difficult in any capacity. Now that all of this crazy stuff is going on with Weinstein, Cosby, Spacey and others...they’re finally finding the right time and strength to say something and more importantly find people who will listen.

While I cannot say if all the allegations are true with so many people being accused, I would say that when people get into power over others, quite often it allows their base nature to come forward. They may truly believe they have done no wrong, but they are simply telling their self a lie, which is why we all need to start teaching everyone to respect each other at an early age, and not to give in to such urges.

I’m divided and think it’s a case by case basis. Hollywood has long been known as an industry where those with power can demand sex, or else....It’s also been an industry where pedophilia ran rampant. The victims felt powerless to do anything about it too, fearing exactly what’s happened when they do speak out... Their claims would be dismissed as lies. So hard to prove decades later, but there is a pattern that once one person has the bravery to come out, other victims feel empowered...
