For me it was in the first episode where they were just talking in the subway while you could hear the subway and noises. With the 2005 version, I just saw Brad and Angelina playing badass spies. In this, I just see two people trying to be spies and trying a relationship.

It was really smart of the writers to use John and Jane’s shared trauma/guilt of killing Eric to push them into a physical relationship. Not only does that progress their relationship sooner rather than later it was a call back to what John said he liked about marriage at the beginning of the episode.

I'm a mid aged Gen X guy and John Turturro is a legend to me. At one period , within about 5 or 6 years, he was in Do The Right Thing, Mo Better Blues, Miller's Crossing, Jungle Fever and Barton Fink, and also his personal project Mac. That work alone is good for lifetime all-star status, and I'm stoked he still gets character roles and gets paid.

When y'all get a chance you should check out Hell on Wheels. It takes place in the same era as Warrior and they mention the tongs/Triad in San Francisco. It focuses at first on the Railroad being built from East to West while the Chinese built from west to east

Check out Hell on Wheels! I know y'all loved Warrior. HoW takes place in the same era centered around the transcontinental railroad but coming the east to the west. It follows a confederate war veteran and ex-slave owner who wrestles with his sins, seeks vengeance for his family being murdered and ends up finding Pride and Meaning in the building of the railroad working side by side with yankees, freed blacks, and Chinese. You could probably argue that the railroad in this show symbolizes America's struggles with division and prejudice and overcoming it. The railroad 1776 miles long connected East and West right after a war between North and South and all kinds of racial conflict going on. The show the darkest sins of America's past as well as the good and the greatest triumphs of America's past Later in the show he's in California and has dealing with the Chinese Triad/Tong. And the guy that places the Triad boss is the same guy who played the San Francisco Triad boss in Wu Assasins. It's got plenty of action, deep moral/philosophical themes, and it really makes you appreciate the transcontinental railroad. It loosely based on a true story, some of the characters and the big background events are real. And if you watch that then you could watch 1883. Warrior, Hell on Wheels and 1883 all unintentionally go together.
