Second model found dead in downtown L.A. apartment

Loved ones are distraught after a young model was found dead inside her apartment in downtown Los Angeles, marking the second time a similar incident has occurred within a week.
Family members who discovered the body of Nichole Coats, 32, known as Nikki, inside her apartment are devastated and frustrated at the lack of answers and information coming from investigators.
“This is senseless and I want some answers because my daughter is gone,” Sharon said. “And it’s not fair. I want everybody to find out who did this to her. She shouldn’t be gone.”
“We need to know what happened,” said May Stevens, Nikki’s aunt. The last time anyone heard from Nikki, she told friends she was going out on a date on Friday, Sept. 8.

Oh, I'm sure they do. And of course LAPD is looking through security footage. But it's still in the investigation phase...they have to figure out the identity of the killer, and part of that would be figuring out when she died so they can focus on an appropriate section of security footage. And even after they pinpoint the perp on camera, that doesn't automatically tell them his name. Hopefully once they narrow down the timeline, they will be able to publish the security footage with a clear enough image for someone to ID him. That's just my guess on how they are moving forward with the search. It can't happen immediately though. Then you end up with people jumping to conclusions and innocent people being arrested.

The killers watch the news too, to see how much the investigators know because the killers can lead the investigation down a different trail if they feel that they are close to getting caught. The investigators have to be careful with how they handle information and how much to deliver to the people. Sometimes the news delivers too much info which can foul up a case. Many movies out there have shown us that. I watched a movie once where a princess was in hiding because of a failed assassination attempt. The news reporter was asking one of the people who were involved in hiding the princess. The reporter asked if the woman knew where the princess was. The woman told the reporter exactly where she was. So you know what happened. The killers went to the place to kill her, but a policeman was there also, who was her body guard, and he thwarted the attempt.

After a few hours after you die the body gets stiff. Something about the chemical change in the blood/body after death but it goes away and the body goes soft again. Leg up in the air could mean anything though. Was the leg propped up on the wall slightly or was the leg just bent supporting itself?
