Inside 2007. Yes. I had the bluray and the quality is miles ahead of the DVD but unfortunately the bluray has no English subs. So I have to watch the DVD. If they do a 4K or even just a proper bluray release, then I am getting it 100%.

The "It Follows" limited edition is a pretty exciting release but I have to admit, with so many iconic images in the film, the cover art (though nice) feels a little uninspired.

@@chrisjfox8715 I agree that it looks good. It’s just… the concept of the film lends itself to boundlessly creative interpretations, even beyond the iconic imagery in the film itself. Just the idea of the constant pursuit of a sorta abstract force can be visually represented in so many ways. To settle on a simple image of Jay’s face, however attractively lit, is just… underwhelming.

I’m a bit irritated with Second Sight because I got their pricey Walkabout Blu-ray box and Criterion just announced a 4K release. Granted, Second Sight's Walkabout Blu-ray destroys Criterion's old Blu-ray, but I wish Second Sight had done a 4K release to begin with. It looks like I’ll be buying Walkabout again in September, and upgrading from the Second Sight disc I bought in 2020.

Although obviously not one of Cronenberg's very best (since he stopped making GREAT pictures since "Crash"), "Crimes of the Future" is still at the very least an intriguing social commentary with grotesque visuals up to par with other Cronenberg sci-fi installments. All in all, Ken, you have to have this 4K in your collection (my guess is you like most of Cronenberg films :P )

Yep. I placed my pre-order on Thursday morning. If you take into account exchange rate (at least on Thursday morning) it was actually a hair cheaper buying from Diabolik or Grindhouse. My personal experience with Grindhouse has been good and I ordered a third movie to push it over their free shipping threshold.

Got to disagree, I’m afraid. I find these huge boxes with tons of non-vital stuff added in for an arm and a leg. Yes, you can get a blu or whatever for a relatively high cost, but none of the goodies. Not that I want art cards or other tosh I won’t look at again. It’s not as though the films are classics or whatever. It’s all just a cash grab, money for old rope. There are so many excellent films that have yet to be released on blu, and some haven’t been sold on disc, even. My bid for label of the year will be Radiance, who are finding films from all over the world that have been forgotten, adding plenty of on-disc extras and all for a decent price. I don’t want to pay huge sums(4X normal price, more expensive than most box sets with 4 or 5 films in) for films that are a fraction better than what I’ve already got. This is film released for the well-off, like a kind of coffee table book, to show off your conspicuous wealth.

It was a no brainer to order this - I did as soon as I saw the news. I'm more excited for this release than anything else that's come out for pre-order in the recent past. I'm a huge fan of 60s, 70s, and 80s gialli, and It Follows has so many throwbacks and tips of the hat to those films, while also just being a super cool and well put together film that I immediately loved when I saw it in theaters. You're Next is another favorite - I would also love to see Second Sight do a 4K of that. One 2010s film that wasn't mentioned in this clip that I would kill to get a super luxe 4K release for - and that is criminally underrated and one no one ever seems to mention - is The Blackcoat's Daughter. That film was the best horror genre film of 2015, but it was overshadowed by The VVitch, which was the media darling that got all the press that year. The VVitch is an amazing film and right up there with The Blackcoat's Daughter, but I still prefer The Blackcoat's Daughter for a variety of reasons - including that it just really appealed to me for the many levels of analysis that one can apply to it to divine personal interpretations; or, the ability to just enjoy it on a surface level as rabid horror fan. I would also argue that The Blackcoat's Daughter is one of the top films ever in its particular horror sub-genre. Anyway, yeah, If someone asked me what my top wish list pick for a super luxe 4K remaster was, it would be The Blackcoat's Daughter. I hope someone over at Second Sight (or even someone over at Vinegar Syndrome, Synapse, Severin, Cauldron, or Arrow Video) sees my post.

Cool video and I remember seeing it follows when it came out back in 2014 and what a dumb film it was and i dont understand all the hype about a film and STDS and the only way to get rid of the cures that was chasing you was to give STDS to someone else
