Second year development of a christmas-tree bonsai | Maintenance work

In early 2023 I created a bonsai out of a christmas tree (Picea gauca conica bonsai). Time for unwiring my christmas tree bonsai, pruning back the growth on my Picea bonsai needle-plucking and rewiring. Typical work for the second year development of a picea bonsai.

I LOVE THAT TREE!! I want my Christmas tree to be similar, but with the twin trunk. I was supposed to bring the branches down this past spring, but the tree didn't seen healthy enough. I actually thought I would lose it. I hope it regains vigor so I can have such a beautiful tree as yours!

Relating to the "Put it out in the sun" comment here . . . ! And we are heading into the middle month of summer . . . ! I am persuaded to pick up a Christmas Tree at the local nursery and have another go. This is a lovely tree with an exciting future - I am glad it is still in your garden for us to learn from.

Ye they are really cool, but I am reffering to giant sequoia (sequoiadendron giganteum) not metasequoias (metasequoia glyptostroboides)@@Svenfv

Never tried them. Also not a species that is really local to here.

There is a really good spanish nursery that sells giant sequoia's and coast redwood plugs at like 3 euro and if you buy them in bulk theyre even cheaper (if you buy 10 it's like 2 euro a plug) and a lot of other trees, tropical and temperate, I imagine it's a really good place to get starter plants. I think it's called TheOriginalGarden.@@GrowingBonsai So if you ever want to do a project which requires a lot of tiny trees I really recommend these guys.
