I own a CB1000R neo sports cafe and I wouldn’t change it for the new Hornet 1000! The line of the CB1000R is much more beautiful and charming and then it has the rear single arm which is wonderful. In a naked motorcycle, power is not everything! When I look at my CB1000R I still get excited. The new Hornet is a bit anonymous, it does not stand out from competitors in lines and design... it is just one of the many and similar naked. That’s why I don’t like it, although I recognize that the engine is a little more powerful.

I would love to see the specs after a tune. My cb1000r is totally different after i did the ecu flash especially in the lower range.

The new Hornet looks nice, a bit basic, but still nice. The Neo Cafe though was really sweet, and those pipes were pretty. I wish Honda just kept both. Kinda like Kawasaki and Yamaha have a retro line.

IMO, Hornet is meh when it comes to looks. The CB1000R at least was recognizable from a distance.

I disagree, the hornet actually looks like a hornet while the CB1000r while good looking looked like every other neo retro, no identity to speak of but good looking never the less.

I'm itching to see a dyno run - it sure sounds like they fixed the 2 major problems with the outgoing cb1000r - 1) price, 2) the massive weak spot from 4-7k rpm. It was more expensive than motorcycles that had 20 hp/torque more from 4-7k rpm. I WANT TO SEE A DYNO HONDA!

You missed a few big points. Honda cut costs on the Hornet and it shows in the materials. No more single sided swingarm and metal billet parts replaced with plastic. Probably the only real thing that's an improvement is the rear shock. The biggest thing about the Hornet is it's butt ugly and has no character. If I wanted an insect looking transformer I'd take the MT10 over this bike anyday.

Afinal porque o cb1000r é mais caro? Eu tenho o novo cb1000r sinceramente eu não trocaria pela hornet por varias razões . A cb1000r é uma moto muito mais exclusiva , melhores materiais de construção o lindo monobraco e claro muito mais confortável

I own a 2023 CB1000R Black Edition and let me tell you that thing goes like it wants Metallica tickets... and on top of it it looks the part many times over the Hornet!! Yes probably better engine and yes Oehlins and Brembo stuff is very nice but put these two bikes next to each other and very important feel and touch them like i did in 2024 and then its a no brainer trust me. But i will go and ride the Hornet SP it cant wait.....plus i would have to shoot myself with that exhaust on the Hornet !!!!
