You can change the grip into foam ones. It will be much more comfortable to grip on for long distance cycling, also to absorb the shock on your wrists.

i'd actually used harder rubber handlebar grips than this on my other bike because this rubber will disintegrate on a long tour, foam grips last even less long if you're riding everyday!

Just picked one of these up for really pretty good condition for $40 AU. I really like the 3 speed bottom bracket idea. Think I'll be doing this to mine. Love the chunky BMX tyre on the rear too! Do you still have it and how's it been for you? Cheers from the Gold Coast.

Great idea changing the crank to 3-speed, from a 24" bike. Was that simple enough, esp re ensuring fit of the shaft?

Yeah it worked out good, no problems 👍

Would you do some clips on bike maintenance? How to adjust v brakes would be good, because my handlebar levers need to be tighter, they’re pushing in too far before brakes engage.

Hi Tim thanks for watching. I’ve done vids on bike maintenance before I’m not best at it. There’s plenty of great channels here on yt showing workshop maintenance. Try park tool channel I’ve found good clear instructions for fixing lots of things there 👍

HI Isobel, i doubt that it would fit in a brompton bag, maybe you might not need a bag? here is my video on bike bags kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooKtaIyPasdrqNE

@@hobocyclist hi Andy, thank you so much for your very clear tutorial on the bag for a folding bike…. Wish I had a sports car 😀, I’m just going to have to train it…. I have since bought another bike with a bag on market place… 🙏🏼🌻

Just got one of these here in NZ 2nd hand (mint) but missing the folding frame mechanism lock. Any ideas where can I get a replacement?been looking up online but no luck.
@hobocyclist11 ай бұрын
wow thats an interesting problem, i dont exactly know. I would try and modify or make the part myself. Theres a bunch of these bikes around secondhand (they used to sell them at super cheap auto) so you might find some secondhand parts, try recycling centres thats where i find most the bike parts i use. Good luck!
