He sympathizes with those they protect and therefore has the best wisdom for any course of action that would affect them on a fundamental level. He even casts aside superpowers that he stated could finally make his ultimate life's mission of quashing evil a reality when he does gain them from time to time whether it be a lantern ring, kryptonian powers, Metron's chair, and so forth because he states that they dull his abilities, warp his perspective, and even corrupt him causing him to betray his philosophy and ideals.

Is Mars really that impossible? Risks high? Yes. Earth to moon @240,000 miles? mars @200 million miles? But mars should not be harder than landing, taking off from earth. It’s @1/3 the gravity? Moon was 1/6th Earth gravity? It’s expected to take +7 months each way. So extremely expensive to make, fuel, stock a ship in space. But Earth orbit to Mars should not be impossible. Landing, taking off from Mars should not be bad. Just huge piles of supplies.

They are making him invincible. He is becoming more super than Superman. I know he is DC's most popular character and people identify with him because has no super powers, but he is as physically impossible as any of the others. No human being could become like him.

He has to be to be relevant, and that is where the problem is. When he's in his own franchise, he's fine and that is where the popularity comes from. Whether it be The Animated Series, the Tim Burton movies, or the Chris Nolan movies. In those mediums he deals with down to earth threats and has no reason to have plot armor. But with the Justice League, he can't be relevant without going well beyond his capabilities when alongside Superman and Wonder Woman. And ultra strong characters themselves aren't so much of a problem. For example if Superman is in his own story, then they can focus more on his human side to tell a decent story. Combine him with others in the Justice League and he quickly becomes a two-dimensional character that exists to get trounced when a major bad guy shows up to show how strong it is. Or some get out of jail free card when he shows up to save the day. Putting Superheroes of vastly different levels of superpowers is always a problem for all involved. Justice League could only work if they toned down everyone's powers. Which DC would likely never do. Such as making Superman vulnerable to high caliber munitions. The man of steel being only as strong as steel would be jarring to most unfortunately.
