not a Floyd fan but ppl talking about why he hitting soft...he really isn't hitting soft...this is a BIG HEAVY BAG... not sure if you guys tried hitting these but they will break your hand shatter your wrist if hitting it wrong...lighter bags are for combos n power... the big boy is designed to perfect technical punching and mechanics of punching and foot work.
@sanctuary88738 жыл бұрын
Exactly.
@halyn19868 жыл бұрын
it will shatter your wrist if you have no idea how to hit properly . The use of a heavy bag is for power punches. Otherwise you have pads , shadow boxing or sparing.
@AlwaysDazed8 жыл бұрын
This workout here would kill most students, you have to be In tip top shape to pull this workout off. The scary shit is Floyd was probably just warming here, probably went and ran 7 miles after that or did another stupid hard drill. The man is in incredible condition.

No question man. Even at 38 no ones fucking with Floyd.

Mayweather is the most boring fighter of all history and yes Manny has WAAY MORE stamina and strength than Mayweather Pacman landed more punches and hugged mayweather 0 times (theres a video proving Manny won) all you flomos only like him because he is undefeated what a shame you all are fake boxing fans ydsab i expect nothing better than a bunch of flomos.

I love how that heavy bag swings with such perfect rhythm when he hits it. It’s like a well rehearsed dance. I lightly hit my 150lb bag and it swings everywhere like a piñata. It might be that I completely suck.

if you notice Floyd in his younger years use to slug it out with his opponents giving some to get some, in the latter part of career it was strictly a defensive strategy to not get hit and to hit, those of you who don't know boxing really don't understand what an artist this guy is
@MosesTheExplorer9 жыл бұрын
Can't believe that people still complaining about Floyd's power!! There are many ways to win a fight beside hurting someone... You can win with your speed, strategy, defence, counters, combinations, foot wotk, or even adopting to your opponent. And Floyd chooses doing all of those but not using power, maybe its simply not his thing. I wish that other boxers focus on the other part of boxing beside hitting hard. Win smart without tyring hard

Musa M I notice b hop do that to in training. I guess as long as the chin is down its ok, what u think?
@MosesTheExplorer8 жыл бұрын
I'm bit confusedwith your question. But keeping your chin down protects your own chin. Also, it force/teach you to keep your eyes at your opponent even if your chin is down.

Most people don’t know that that shit burns your arms and wind. Non stop 15 min is no joke even the soft punches burn.
@dronepilotcanadian64277 жыл бұрын
I know for a fact he can go for 12 rounds straight on the heavy bag without rest so anybody saying they can do better , he's barely warmed up . He's also not going full energy to prevent unnecessary injury for obvious reasons . This was a PR and photo op , he also went slow so the cameras can pick up his hands otherwise they would be a constant blur with regular camera. I like the way he demonstrated his signature shoulder roll a couple of times . Anyone who thinks this is his 100% is just silly .
@alenamoniz5 жыл бұрын
This is perfect work. The bag is to perfect your distance and form, you will tear your shoulders up if you swing hard on every punch using the heavy bag.

Dastardly Duck it's a media day workout for the cameras. He's dialing it down yet still remaining highly focused. It's a light workout for him. With that said, his 5 is most other fighter's 9 or 10. Good point about the hands.

Ben F. Skating Because with heavybag work you should hit with harder punches,using power and intensity but this is just silly! No wonder he dont have harder punches!.Watch Tyson with a heavybag and you will see how you should use a heavybag ;)
@benf.skating79488 жыл бұрын
saine414 I know how to use a heavybag. It's not all about power in your punches, you need to make them fast too, like Muhammad Ali. He wasn't a hard hitter, but very fast, and many people call him the best professional boxer ever. Plus, Mayweather is all about the defense and countering, so his punches don't need to be (that) hard.
@saine4148 жыл бұрын
Ben F. Skating All i say is that a heavybag actually are for you to train your punching power and use intensity, with combinations ex ex ex thats why it is a HEAVYBAG! If he dont wanna do that, its fine but it looks little silly to me that he use a heavybag like this...
@benf.skating79488 жыл бұрын
saine414 I guess.
@ZxLonelyRangerxZ8 жыл бұрын
+saine414 For him it's to practise the snap and the technique. It's not set in stone that a heavy bag has to be used like that, afterall you look at his style of boxing small combinations pop out then pop back in. They have boxing routines and regimes that suit their style and what they want to work towards so obviously it's going to be different from the average joe's routine, there's a reason why he's undefeated.

Why practice punching, why not practice running away from a wild dog or something because he runs away from his opponent every fight and hits them when their not even looking. Fight pac-man paper champion.
@BornToFLY929 жыл бұрын
You've been watching too much Rocky. What do you think they're going to stand toe to toe exchanging punches the entire fight? It's called strategy. When does he punch anyone without them looking :S. If they aren't looking, then they deserved to be knocked out for losing focus. This is boxing.
