Just wanted to say that your content is SO refreshing. There are an inordinate amount of FM content people that like to do videos like "4 Tips for finding wonderkids" and then spend 40 minutes telling you to use the search feature. WTH? Or they say "Let me show you how to setup a loan system" and then spend 40 minutes alluding to it only to eventually say something like "Put them on the development list". WTH? You give so much detail and it's so organized *and* entertaining. It's like an infodump I barely have the backside cache to keep up with. Really appreciate it a lot. I loved all the little shenanigans here regarding getting players out to the clubs you want. It is one of the most charming things about FM that it has so many quirks like this.

My Irish loan farm currently at 115 in Ireland. Biggest thing that has helped: I used FM Scout Current Ability Calculator to work out the CA of players. I used it to work out the CA of the AI squads I was trying to loan to. This was game changing as clubs would never offer to loan someone who would be their best player (unrealistic target like you said). They wouldn't even go for 2nd best players but under that they'd really go after 3rd to 5th highest CA guys. Sometimes they'd go a lot lower too like 15th guys who werent going to play. Obviously less helpful but it did help you really get a sense of whoAI clubs would try to sign. Another thing I've noticed on the squad building. AI clubs really only like to sign players who are natural in positions in their tactic. This is particularly relevent for DMs who there are not a high amount of natural at a young age. I had a lot of DMs who were accomplished there but natural at CM. The only teams that came in for them played 4-3-3 or 4-4-2. No 4-2-3-1 teams at all.

We did attempt something along those lines by using team report functions on other Maltese sides to provide better targets, but i hadn't even considered the formation stuff which is a massive oversight from me

I'm also playing in Ireland trying to do a build a nation-save. I'm really struggling to make the loan farm good, mostly because the players I buy are too good for the clubs that are in the league. I've got around 80 players on loan but maybe 30 of the players go to other clubs outside Ireland (don't want them to just sit around in the under-19). I'm definately are going to use your tip to try to get rid of this problem! Thanks!

Thanks for this, I'm 12 years into Ireland and suddenly the loan bids have dried up. I think it's as you've said, I've signed youngsters that CA are too high for the rest of the league.

17:15 This is still by far the best method but the part exchange method for me is absolutely brilliant. Especially for teams in Europe in your league because EVERY player you have will want to join a side in Europe. The intermediary does work for me but I'll admit of the 10 players I signed last summer only one went out on loan via that way. The other 9 went the normal route. I love that we have all these different methods though, means I can sign anyone and know that some way they will get a loan.

about the player exchange method, if u add the player in the transfer list and put his price was 0 and try to player exchange normally they want ANY player u offer them for loan (the player can still reject the team but the team will almost never reject the player)

8:15 for belouizdad, you did a grand job of pronunciating it. But weirdly, FM is missing a trick because all these clubs tend to go by their abbreviation. Here: CRB. There's JSK, ESS, USMA. The only exception is Mouloudia, and the odd new club like Paradou, but that now tends to be called le PAC

Loving the save! Currently a season behind you with Naxxar. Been using the p/ex system to get loanees out but noticed a few huge loan fees. Balzan loaning a player for £1.9m per year for 2 years, which has now left their bank balance at £300k! This was a 3 player p/ex but the fee was only on the single player. Can't remember seeing a screen where I could have changed / removed the fees.

Don't get fooled, Sturm are actually quite good these days and by far the 2nd best club in Austria after RB Salzburg. Take a look at the 2022/23 Europa League group F where Feyenoord, Midtjylland, Sturm, and Lazio all finished with 8 points and the entire group was decided on goal difference. What I find very interesting is that many of the players who play for Sturm in your matches in 2030 are actually players that are at the club right now in 2024: Danté (although he was just loaned out), Geyrhofer, Johnston, Kiteishvili, Jatta, Wlodarczyk, Böving, Schnegg, Gorenc-Stankovic, Schnegg, Meißl, and maybe even others that are in the youth team right now. They seem to have been able to keep these for a long time, which is surprising.

any chance you could discuss your shortlists/ortgansiation on players youre looking to buy etc. I have a few for scouting then resort into loan farm, future signings after that but i feel it is a little messy and doesnt work too well. how do you do it to keep track of everything?

OK so I'm testing out the intermediary and may have stumbled upon something. Whenever your player has NO interest, offer them out to ANYONE in the world. Don't limit it to your country. When the offers come in, reject them and then do the intermediary and cancel. Go forward 1-2 days and you see interest from clubs in your league for loans. It's very time consuming but could definitely be a last resort thing to attempt.

An issue I’m having with the free transfer methods is teams not making offers due to ‘the players reluctance to leave following his recent arrival’. Is there a work around to this?

I suspect that it will heavily depend on the league you're in, but it's not an issue i've run into so far. Do you mean where it says that on the offer out screen? Because is so i find it best to ignore it, but if it's happening after that point then i've not seen that just yet

I am using a player swap thing and still, most of the time either the club doesn't accept them or players reject clubs. What are the most important things? I know the rep of club+ players, their salary etc matters. but sometimes I find myself in situations that they don't make sense
