The Pentagon challenge is a serious one, but build a nation is SO far beyond that, it's not even funny. These are by far the best FM video series one can see. I'm genuinely SO impressed by these. Started halfway through last year's series, and have been an avid watcher since. Seeing the beginning is SO absorbing. Seriously, well done with these, in terms of setting it all up (yes, you have support from your community,) then carrying it out in game and, of course, the videos themselves. Question - what ranking do you need to get another team in europe again?

Thanks so much mate! They are by far my favourite type of save, because i strangely enjoy these setup years laying the groundwork for the insane stuff that comes later. Because ones we reach that stage being able to root for like 8 teams in one year is just so damn fun! You need to get all the way up to 15th to get that 5th spot so we aren't too close to that yet unless we have some insane seasons. However i think the other teams are now getting to a point where they could take advantage of it when we get it!

5:14 Just in case you don't know, once they get loaned out, go into transfer status and you can change their value to UNSPECIFIED and that will put their value back to normal.

A trick I love to use to find talented youngsters for cheap is go into international management. You can see the potential of all the youngsters in that country, say Colombia, and then snatch them all up for a couple mil. International management is really useful for scouting the youth of an entire country and you can give your players more international experience at the same time.

SelffoundHering here. This might be a longer comment and i apologize in advance. I had a little think about that value drop. where would i look if i worked in QA in SI and was tasked with this bug. Unfortunately i dont work for SI and dont have the insight how the ingame-systems work in detail. But as far as i understand the value largely is derived from player Reputation. Player Reputation is derived from the reps of the club and competitions they are playing in and how well they are doing compared to the rep of that comp. my working theory is if the value changes that drastic the rep must as well. if rep star rating or "rep class", which both are relative to everything else is unchanged that means everyting around them has changed by the same flat amount Therefore my thinking is SI tinkered with the Rep system at some point and was not happy with the Gap between the biggest and the smaller clubs/players/comps. as a quick fix they might have introduced a major flat amount to everyone. Not sure where exactly that rep would have been added. could be playerside, clubs or even competition side of things. star ratings wouldnt change much since the order of things would still be the same. values however probably dont take relative rep, they probably calculate directly from the raw rep value so why the sudden nosedive? maybe SI thought this fix is only needed for the first couple of years and made it runout after 9 or 10 seasons. entrusting the values back entirely to merit bases rep values i could be completely wrong and probably only SI staff could verify but opening a old save before the value drop with editor active and comparing raw rep values of players, clubs and competitions to the values after the drop might give some insight... Hering out...

I didn't sadly. The Sirens game wasn't played at their home stadium so there was less chance to do so. Due to the being a very small club, they didn't have a club shop that i was able to find

this happened to me in fm22 i think its a bug that players drop in value even though they could be playing well and improving it doesn't make any sense and when I say drop in value I mean like 90 percent drops its frustrating even the teams performance cant prevent the drop

It's super frustrating, and i can totally see it killing people's enjoyment of their saves, for me it's annoying but i see it as another challenge, it still shouldn't be in the game though

Hi I have been following you for quite some time now. Can you tell me, when you use your DoF to look for potential loanees/transfers at the start of save, do you sign the best possible (obviously what you can afford) DoF in terms of JPA and JCA attributes? Have to say i am a noob in terms of being able to judge what players could take my team forward.... Do you regularly change your DoF, when you can afford a better one?

I think it's always best to have the best staff for the role especially if they are performing a duty that has an impact. So ideally if you can find one with decent JPA and JCA that isn't too pricey it could be worth it. We've only changed our DOF once in this save i believe as we were able to find a guy with 17s across the board really early on. And he was super cheap too which is lovely

The thing that bothers me here is that a lot of players who are more than good for your level and reputation, have like 3.5 or 4 stars, even though their attributes are really good. Does the game recognize you as a stronger side for these players or what's the thing here? Because it seems to me that when it comes to player's ceiling quality the game considers you as one of the clubs from the top 5 or 6 leagues, but the reputation is still not there so you can sign genuine 5 star players.

Yeah it's a bug, it's been reported on the forums, but sadly they don't seem to be in any hurry to fix it :(

Is it genuinely the case that my players for the loan farm are too good? I really struggle to get loans or sales within my league (Vanilla Gibraltar save) Only Red Imps ever take my players really. I wouldn't say they're amazing talents.
