'ஓ' ப்ரணவ மந்திரம். உலகத்தை ஆளும் சக்தி. அதனால் தான் முருகரை "ஓம்" என்னும் மந்திரத்தை ஆளும் வேலன் என்று சொல்வது வழக்கம். 108, 1008 (1+0+8=9, 1+0+0+8=9) மந்திரங்களின் முன்னிலையிலும் "ஓம்" என்ற சொல் அமைக்கப்பட்டதற்கு காரணம், இந்த "ஓம்" என்ற சொல்லை வாய்விட்டு சொல்வதால் எழும் ஒரு வித அதிர்வலை நம் எண்ணம், மனதை தீயவழியில் செல்ல அனுமதிக்காது. நாம் அதனால் தான் மன சஞ்சலம் தீர ஆலயம் சென்று வருகிறோம்.
