# Secret Creek # Gives up it's Gold # gold mining

I went back to my Secret creek to see if i could isolate the pay layer in the bench , but the water level was a bit higher than before because of rain . So i decided to just revisit the crevices close by me knowing they had been worked over before , but low and behold i had my best day there so far , and i couldn't believe just how much gold was left in those few crevices . Yeeehaaa Baby , it was a great day . Hope you come along for the ride and join me as i pump and work those crevices real good . Cheers Ned . 👍

G'day Glenno , yes mate , it wasn't to bad that day , i was pleasantly surprised considering those crevices had already been worked over and that's why i didn't bother with them on a previous day , but obviously who ever done them before didn't do a very good job on them . Fortunately for me . I guess that means that we should not reject where someone else has worked before because they might be either just getting to a pay layer or they might not be very efficient with their mining tactics , lol , 🤣 I guess it always pays to give it a try aye . Yes mate , i was a very happy chappy indeed , i didn't think i had that much and although it looked a bit like some sand in the total , i can assure you it was all clean gold , but the little micro dots have a dark look about them when there is so much of them , and they look like impurities mixed in with it . Well, you are much more experienced than I am. I just started prospecting 18 months ago. Started my youtube channel 45 days ago. A very steep learning curve, that's for sure. I'm lucky to be in Vic, so at least (for the meantime), we can use high bankers, etc. I built myself a small trommel to save my back a bit, no classifying ! Works off 12v, no petrol pump or generator. Cheers good luck mate

Your Trommel sounds compact and that is always good , the less gear you have to carry around the better .
