# Back at my Favorite # Gold Creek # Mining .

I went back to my favorite creek to finish some unfinished business , at an unfinished crevice or i should say a trench . and there's always a lot of unknowns when you start digging in a creek to find the bedrock in the bottom , and what it's hiding and what it reveals when you reach that point . Ahh wouldn't it be wonderful if we had Xray vision , It could save us so much time and energy , just think about it . Anyway , please join me on my little Adventure , and come along for the ride . G'day Levi , i'm glad you were able to put the crevice tool to good use . They are not real heavy gauge for levering bedrock to much ,like the Tiger stainless tools perhaps are , but it's mainly for scratching out hardpack gravels and such . G'day Greg , Yes , i bet the WA heat beats our heat hands down ,lol , You're right about that mate , any day in a cool creek is a good day . The shovel came about simply because penetrating through the cobble takes time to get to the bedrock on the bottom , so anything that can get you down there where the gold is much quicker , must be a better option . @@GrooberNedJardine I believe the gold in and about my driveway is a problem already without additional salting. 🤪 😂 When scraping and high grading the various electronic goodies the golden treasure especially gold pins have a mind of their own and occasionally go flying off someplace. 😳 I walk out to my shop everyday and usually as I walk out there a glimmer of shiny will catch my eye! No matter how many times I make this walk I will almost always see another one. 😂 Yeah pal.. there’s bound to be some shiny beneath that snow 😂

G'day Taz , yes mate , it was one of the richest creeks in the area i prospect . Had over 2000 miners working it in the 1800's for 20 years before they even kept records of the gold taken . They would pan a pickle jar full by smoko . They dug every bench and ravine that lead into it . But of course now we're just picking up the dregs . G'day Crouch , yeah water was a bit higher than last time but not much higher . Ahh , so you got a little bit of shiny out there aye , very good !!! The trees always worry me , even if one doesn't fall on you , they might fall on your vehicle . I always check the weather and the wind speed in advance before i head out there . The Widow makers , ie : (Gum trees ) are known for taking lives , but the dead ones out there i think are the She oaks , and more and more of them seem to be dying , I don't know why . That beard would extend your life span at least a little. 🙂 Right now we are at a standstill regarding mining and milling. Repair and maintenance are winter jobs. This year Loren doesn't have any spare room in his shop for stripping. Once the weather warms up we have a few cartridges of loaded resin and a couple of tons of ore stockpiled to deal with while we wait for snow to melt in the high country.

Too bad , but i suppose it gives you a chance to catch up on maintenance issues . I might have to contact you via Email Keith if that's OK . i have leached about 30 pounds of crushed ore and have the resin samples ready for the next stage , not sure what that is yet , possibly electrolysis , but i might have to ask you a few questions , so when i'm ready to go with it , i hope i can maybe get some advise or such . I would love to send you the samples for stripping just to see if you could recover anything off them , but i think it may be a bit dicey with customs sending this stuff . They may just take it and destroy it , and that would be a bummer . Anyway , i may be in touch via email , Cheers My friend . Ned out .
