That is fantastic you are giving away a goldfield for people to try their luck on. I will be within a stone's throw(about 400km) of that place come mid July, but won't have time to get there. I think I will have to sweet talk the account's manager and stop in on the way back down. If I can't get there, I will love to here the stories of people that do. You are a true champion, and you are right, there is a gold mine of firewood out there too. Bring on the next video. Cheers Dan 🍻

Hey 101, we are heading up the coast and going to Tom Price around end of July then coming back down towards Perth. Still trying to find some time to get the detector out or even the pan to settle the fever. You have already given a spot which is within easy reach, but thanks for your extended generosity. Keep the great videos coming and I’m loving WA. Cheers Dan 🍻

Hi P101 I just got back from my first ever prospecting trip and chose your spot. A bit late in the season but I just had to have a least one first go before summer kicks in. Surely I would find something there with my shiny new 7000! I could hear your guiding voice over my shoulder as I dug many a hole. No luck with the golden metal but found a few bits of rusted tin and bullets which certainly made my dopamine levels rise for a minute. What an amazing experience and beautiful place! I’m definitely hooked. Thanks for sharing the suggestion. Quite a vast area and maybe to be revisited once I know more about what I’m doing! Haha. Anyway thanks again and looking forward to any new instalments from you. Cheers P

Than you Steve for your Comment ... Yea that's the best part of finding a patch ... Thank you P101. I love your videos, so informative for a newbie like me. I can’t figure out the co-it’s though!!! Can you let us know in longitude latitude? Having a nugget of a time figuring it out 🤷♀️ cheers
@prospecting101 Жыл бұрын
Hi Kim ... Thanks for your Comment ... Here's what I put on my Community, hope it helps: G'Day Tube-Mates, hope everyone is AOK. I'm getting some requests to convert the GPS co-ordinates that I gave out in my last video (uploaded June 16 2023) to the Secret Patch ... So here are the Lat Longs: 27degrees 11minutes 46seconds // 117degrees 57minutes 52seconds ... How's that? So the thing is, if you want to do research, you'll need to become familiar with the UTM system, it's basically a metric system that's very easy to work with in the bush. For instance, if my camp's northerly co-ord is 7000500 N, and the high number that I'm chasing is say 7000600N ... Then I have to go 100 metres to the north. Lat Longs are practically useless in the field, like how far is 100 seconds, or one degree? Besides, as I say, all research that you'll encounter that is prepared by company geologists will be in UTM, as it's the norm among professionals. And BTW you can change the co-ord settings/system in your GPS and easily switch between the different systems, and your GPS will convert for you ... So you'll need to learn how to do that too. Maybe I'll do a video on this stuff ??? Anyway, thanks for watching and sorry I'm so slow in responding to your Comments, been a hectic week! Cheerio, P101 ..

Good one mate at least you scored some gold even though it's only small but it all adds up and those old tree roots would make great knife handles too you know lol. Fancy giving away this spot especially when I have no detector nor a car nor the finance's to get out there lol. Hopefully someone reading gets out there and pulls up some gold 🙂. Good to see you and stay safe.
