You have to consider that all of Raising Cane's restaurants raise hundreds and hundreds of dollars to give back to their communities, on top of him going out of his way to do things like this.

Yes the dog Cane II goes pretty much everywhere they do. She even has her own little office in the company headquarters. The other yellow lab you see on the company stuff was his first one Cane I (who passed away a few years ago) he did name the place after his 4 legged friend.

That Trailer is NOT BAD AT ALL. I checked out the Hong Kong version of Secret Millionaire (youtube search "窮富翁大作戰"), and THAT is what I call REAL poverty. That Trailer, in comparison, is luxurious!
@MicheleFung13 жыл бұрын
It's great that they will go back to the community and see the real life again. What is worrying would be their children who already has a good life, private jet etc right at birth! In Hong Kong, they had a similar show and 1 millionaire took her kid with her to experience it and this little kid treasures food after the show and knew that there are kids who are less fortunate in the world too,
@LookItsCollin12 жыл бұрын
this is good too. Many of these millionaires might not have come out if it wasnt for the show. And if being filmed makes them hand out thousands of dollars, then I dont have an issue with this show.

Raising canes was named after the founders dog. Their restaurants are mostly in Louisiana but they do have places in several other states. If you come across one you really need to stop by and eat. I go about once a week and it's damn good. Make sure you order extra canes sauce.
@MJSinger105 жыл бұрын
Raising Cane's is very good, but also pretty expensive. I eat there when I can because they give a military/veterans discount, when most fast food places don't where I live. But in 2019 it's still hard to feed 2 people there for $20, so it's a rare treat on VA Disability. This was interesting to see, but I wish they'd do a more recent follow up!
@chibba54184 жыл бұрын
not really expensive... $8-$9 for 4 fingers, fries, toast, coleslaw, and a drink is not bad. An average fast food meal (main course, side dish, drink) is right around that price. Keep in mind, $10 a meal is supposed to be a treat, not something you get everyday, let alone 3 times a day. Cane's is a pretty simple formula that you can copy at home very quickly and cheaply.

Didn’t realize this series was so old lol. But seems like so many people make comments assuming worth X amount of millions means that’s what’s free in the bank instead of the worth of all the property, businesses, miscellaneous valuables plus cash. Once you get over a certain net worth, most assets are in frozen assets that produce more wealth at some level of risk....

While I agree that many people are doing these amazing things every day, and the millionaires should not be considered heroes, I don't see a problem with them donating money on TV. I'm sure that donations pour in from the public after these shows air. The fact of the matter is, many of these charities would never get any real recognition if it weren't for the TV show behind these millionaires. The positives far outweigh the negatives.

I'm disappointed in your comment. You just watched an edited episode on National TV/KZbin which means you have no idea about the amount they can give or the backgrounds of the people they gave it to. You watch edited clips and think you got it figured out. What if $25k did change lives? What if that is all they needed? Talk about the millionaires... you sound greedier than most of them.
@RicIsGod13 жыл бұрын
@mikehill01 Who said I wasnt rich. I have a fancy sports car a very nice house and a very well paying job. I just dont go around "pretending" to be poor so I can see how the poor people live. I was born in a run down steel town with no jobs and a very poor childhood. I give plenty every year and I don't write off any of it. It shouldn't take going on a show to have a soul.

how ridicolous it is that the people are always dressed up when "rich"(heels, formal dresses, suits) and dressed down when "poor"(hoodies, t-shirts, flipflops). as if every rich person was always dressed up when in their own house and as if a "poor" person could never dress up. i own a ton of dresses from forever21 for about 20-30$ that sure dont look like that! and as if rich people never wore sweatpants in their own homes...just like the rest of us..

Yeah they are millionaires, but they aren't going to give the people enough money to support the rest of their lives. At least they are giving SOMETHING to others. Most millionaires would just keep it all to themselves and become huge snobs. There was another episode where a millionaire only gave 25,000 total to 3 different organizations. now THATS low.
