Hi! Greetings from Sweden (and sorry if my English writing skills are somewhat sub standard). Just an addition to your Mora knife feature description: In Sweden - carpenter's and handymen's clothes and coveralls (and even some aprons) often has a rivet button right above the left hand side of the chest and have been designed such for at least a century. Since these clothes are historically made from blue denim - in sweden a workman's clothes are often referred to as "blå kläder" (blue clothes). The idea of stacking knives is from this age aswell. A working man often used an older - slightly dulled knife for carpet work, cutting roofing paper, and as a general prying tool etc. and then you kept one knife "surgical sharp" for more delicate work. When Mora introduced the new models - some 20 years ago or so - they started to color them in all kinds of colors aswell, so that you could easily identify which knife was which in a stack, even in poor light conditions. By the way - Being Swedish - the natural choice for me is of course the Mora for your application. It is - simply - the best knife for that kind of money. And it's as swedish as a Dala horse or the Smorgasboard. :-) Keep up the good work! I love your videos!

I’ve been using Moras since the old red painted wood handle ones in a black plastic stealth. They’ve always been affordable and very easy to keep razor sharp and they hold their edge great. The laminated build makes them tough as well. They’re still great knives and very affordable. Mora has always been a whole lot of knife for the price. I think Opinel folding knives are another great, affordable knife.

So I bought one for 11 dollars to test out as she only would need it a few times a year. I liked it so much as a belt knife I bought 4 and handed them out on a camping trip me and my brothers do every year. It's such a great knife and for the price you can have one in every truck, toolbox, and tackle box without breaking bank. It's not my main knife but there is always one in reach if I need it. Here in Sweden, where the Mora knife originates from, we don't use denim jackets that much. We don't have that many bears to protect us from either. I'd say the tab thingy is for having the holster to stay on the button or rivet on your handy man trousers when you need to grab the knife. Which btw also can be done in a one hand motion.

The stacking feature was designed for tradesmen. Mora was originally famous as a tradesmen's knife. You can have a general knife, and a chisel knife, or a flex knife, or a carving knife, all stacked up for various different tasks. It's a cool little feature! I like that they've kept the button attachment in their newer models like the Garberg and Kansbol, the leather belt loop has a slot in it that performs the same function. I wish they made a thin EDC blade (I don't count the Eldris, it's way too fat for EDC) 3 inch, thin handle, thin stock, poly sheath etc.

I'd like to see all 3 tested. I suggested both Mora and Cold Steel alongside a few other choices. Upside to Mora is you can get it in both stainless and carbon steel, whichever you prefer and many different blade grinds and thicknesses. Cold Steel only comes in stainless which while takes a nice edge and resists stains is less tough, harder to sharpen and can't spark a flint unlike a carbon blade can(sure you have a lighter and 2 Ferro rods but just in case). My bag has a Mira Bushcraft black alongside a Cold Steel Pendleton, one for wood work and the other for more utility cutting tasks. Great combo that I don't have to worry about.

i wouldn't go for the glock knife as it has a micro bevel, for edc use that's fine, but a scandi grind like the mora is best suited to bushraft like tasks Edit- Also the handles on the mora are incrediblely comfortable which can make or break how usable a knife is, I haven't seen the glock knife in person but the handle seems very round which is to be expected on a combat style knife but would have a tendency to roll in your hand

I feel like the mora is the best choice, as you can get them all over. The CS knife is also solid as its almost the same. I think the glock knife is a worse choice, but I also would like to see a video on it.....tough call...if I were making the kit, id go 1 mora...

Idk about Mora, but CS knives go through some ultra serious stress testing. That’s why I edc their Recon 1. It’s basically a folder that’s as strong as a fixed blade. But I do know people love some Mora knives, so they gotta have something good going for them.

I think the Mora field knife would be the best pairing. I myself own a Mora knife that is very close to this, even has about the same sheathe, been using it for a few years now and will continue using it for longer. It's very reliable, handy and comfortable to use. The steel is incredible, I have had only one dent in the edge over the few years and was easy to fix. It cost me around the same price, EUR 6.80 (Around $8). Since it was cheap, I abused it a lot (within means, of course) and it really holds up. I recommend the knife for everyone, even if it's just for yard work. These knives will become tools you don't want to go outside in the yard without.

I'd put a vote in for the Mora companion HD which has additional mass to withstand being beaten through small logs to make kindling or trap components. Currently just under $20. Not stackable but I prefer to take some basic light weight sharpening supplies instead of a second knife - what happens if/when you dull both? Don't forget to square the spine of the knife to enable scraping for ferro rods, tinder scraping and bark removal for various purposes.

Yup, ^THIS^... My Mora HD has taken numerous beatings that would totally destroy a Cold Steel after 3-5 minutes (ask me how I know that...?) and just will not bend, break, lose a tip or anything else -it has been hammered through branches thicker than my ankle and bones thicker than my thumb, battened more logs than I could ever count, been hammered into tree-trunks as a step-up and supported my full 185lbs without any "issues" several times, and after all the heavy (ab)use I give it, 2 minutes attention with a DC4 (a 1" x 4" x 1/4" Fjallkniven diamond/ceramic whetstone if you didn't know, and simply THE best field/portable/pocket sharpener ever made...) and a couple of passes over the back of my belt it will be as shave-sharp as it was when it left the Mora Factory 7 years ago, and it would be a very rare day indeed that I don't use it for some cutting task or other. Having owned an awful lot of good blades in my 49 years on this planet, a carbon steel Mora Companion HD is the only fixed-bladed knife that I would trust with my life (and have done so many times...), and the fact that Mora can produce these fantastic blades for

That glock knife is almost unbeatable in toughness. I have had mine for close to 10 years and used it actively. It has went through two mandatory 1 year military services including very harsh use, but it is still kicking it. Tip of the blade is bent and plastics look really scuffed, but it holds a mean edge and is an unbeatable workhorse that i would not replace.

the glock field knife really is a tool, more than a knife...never holds an edge, rusts easily and the steel is a little bit brittle... but for throwing, opening beer caps, used as screwdriver or for digging in the ground (all things we used it in the austrian army for) it is a wonderful tool really xD for cutting, everybody had a second, privately sourced knife, usually a compact folder, like a vic... but some used - a mora 🤣
