Yet I still LOVED his show, and other bits he has done. I thumbs upped this video, and truly enjoyed watching it. I don't hate him or think he should be censored or banned. Different people have different views, it doesn't mean you have to hate them. We should all be glad be people are different... it staves off boredom and staleness. I don’t think it’s unusual. I agree with most of his stances but some of them are so/so. Even so - I watch plenty of comedians with stances I disagree with and to be honest I think that’s good for you. It’s great to get to know other opinions from a comedic standpoint. Helps you to be less of a stick in the mud. I know my best friend is like this too. I think that a lot of reasonable people are! The difference is - we don’t usually talk about it. It’s the people with extreme opinions who shout, throw tantrums, and act offended by someone else’s attempts to provide entertainment to a diverse audience. Those people get noticed and they tend to start defining the way we think the average person behaves. I have argued enjoyably with plenty of liberals and conservatives on KZbin...there have been maybe 5 people over the course of two years that I thought were totally unreasonable. The world is not made of unreasonable people. The world is made of diverse people with diverse opinions and perfectly good reasons for having them. The only reason we imagine people are unreasonable is because those kinds of people are what sells, and they are the ones screaming and scrambling for attention and validation from the rest of us.

Could somebody explain this joke, I didn't get it! :/
@LordMajicus6 жыл бұрын
On the off chance you are serious, I will leave this here for reference from the wiki. (This was a quite clever joke IMO) "The Three-Fifths Compromise was a compromise reached among state delegates during the 1787 United States Constitutional Convention. Whether, and if so, how, slaves would be counted when determining a state's total population for legislative representation and taxing purposes was important, as this population number would then be used to determine the number of seats that the state would have in the United States House of Representatives for the next ten years. The compromise solution was to count 3 out of every 5 slaves as a person for this purpose. Its effect was to give the southern states a third more seats in Congress and a third more electoral votes than if slaves had been ignored, but fewer than if slaves and free persons had been counted equally, thus allowing the slaveholder interests to largely dominate the government of the United States until 1861.[1] The compromise was proposed by delegates James Wilson and Roger Sherman."

I felt the same way but I remember hearing someone else tell it. I don't remember who but it was almost word for word at some points. At first I thought what the fuck dude? You just ripped someone else's joke but then I realized that he had more to the joke than the other person had like when you retell a story of an event you heard about. It has less detail and loses some of the character. So one of two things happened, either someone I can't remember ripped his joke and didn't do it as well or he ripped someone's joke but did it better than they did and I can't say I'd mind if it was the latter.

His cover was quite good too; who would ever assume the murderer would openly joke about possibly being the murderer?

the murder did happen in the room either right above or below his room, he knew this fact, he says he knew this only because a reporter told him this in the parking lot while they were waiting for the police to check it out and then tell them you can go back inside now, no doubt about it Steve Hofstetter is the murderer, just kidding of course or am I

Intelligent, funny, relatable, and the most beautiful thing... the messages throughout serving as a catalyst for personal and collective change, wrapped in laughs. Stumbling on your work watching hecklers get owned it was so nice to enjoy the full production of your art without interruption. Thank you ❤

Your videos are always killer and I appreciate you putting out the free video. It has been the highlight of my week! You are my in my top 5 favorite comedians and my current hobby has been to turn anyone I know, with a sense of humor, on to your work. Keep being an awesome human being. Ps: You sounded like Katt Williams to me when you made the snakes on a plane reference . Lol

I've been watching bits from this here and there for a little bit. Finally decided to watch the whole special. Unfortunately, watching you while recovering from bronchitis made it hurt to laugh sometimes, but in the end, was so worth it. Laughter is medicine and I'm feeling a little better after watching. Thanks Steve!

I always laughed a lot at your other specials, but I can definitely tell you’re still getting better at it because this is even better. For me, this and John Mulaney’s “Kid Gorgeous” are the two specials rivaling “stand-up of the year”.

Mr. Hofstetter , I have just discovered you on You Tube, and I felt the need ( & have no idea why ) to convey that, you Sir, ( in my opinion ) are a genius in creating the Heckler tapes. I can not remember ANYONE doing this before and I'm 63 and have been paying somewhat attention to the comedy field. I am VERY glad I found your channel.
