About Ben Bailey:
Long before he got behind the wheel of “Cash Cab,” Ben Bailey left his home in a small town in New Jersey and headed to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of a career in show business. Six weeks later he found himself on stage at The Comedy Store. Shortly thereafter, Bailey returned to the East Coast and started hanging out at the comedy clubs in New York City. He quickly became a crowd favorite and has since performed at all the major festivals - Montreal and Chicago (Just for Laughs), the (hallowed and former) Aspen Comedy Arts Festival and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival - as well as at clubs and theaters around the world.
By 2005, Bailey had appeared in several commercials, on Fox's "MADtv" and became a regular on "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn." He also made stand up appearances on HBO, NBC, "Star Search," "Last Call with Carson Daly" and "The Late Show."
Bailey drove the smash hit series “Cash Cab” (still in syndication around the world) for over 550 episodes. The show ran from 2005-2012 and again from 2017-2019 (bravotv.com/ca.... Bailey was nominated four times for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host, winning the award in 2010, 2011 and 2013. “Cash Cab” won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show in 2008, 2009 and 2010. In 2013, the show appeared in TV Guide's list of the 60 greatest game shows ever.
He’s also hosted several other TV shows - including NBC’s "Who's Still Standing," "Best in The Business," Discovery’s "After the Catch" and NatGeo’s “Brain Games” - and appeared in multiple pilots.

One thing I noticed is that when other comedians tell a story, we only laugh at the punchline. Ben however, is able to make us laugh even on the setup of his jokes. He’s so talented and funny!

One of the wonderful things Ben does is that he often delivers half a sentence and then pauses, which causes the audience to fill in the last part of the sentence in their heads, which makes the situations even funnier. Ben has one of the best delivery methods in the comedy business. Truly brilliant humor Ben!

Years ago, a friend showed this to me on Netflix, and we fell in love with this Masterpiece of stand up comedy from one of the last people we expected to see doing stand up: yeah, "the Cash Cab guy". We rewatched it often because it was so good and quotable, but were heartbroken to find it was taken off of Netflix some time later. Yesterday, on a whim, we googled it to see if it was on any other platforms we might know of, and lo and behold, the full thing was on KZbin, uploaded by the man himself. So thanks Mr. Bailey, without this we likely wouldn't have seen it again.

I ❤️ the cash cab guy. My kids and I would always play “Cash Cab” in the car on long car rides. My kids would play for spare change and I would pay them . It’s just fun.

My mom will be 97 this March (2020). She lives with me as I've been taking care of her for the last 7 - 8 years. She's a big game show fan so when a Cash Cab commercial showed up on her TV I ask here if she's ever seen it, she responded with, "No, I don't like that." Thinking that she made that determination based on a commercial only, I counter responded with, "But have you actually seen it?!" With her endless pause I knew that she hadn't. So after saying, "Ooookay...", I found out when the next showing was, sat down with her, took her remote away, and forced her to watch it. Now she never misses it. It's mostly on weekends in a marathon way (quite a few shows in a row) and, again, she sits through them all without hesitation! Now I've got to figure out a way to get this video on her TV!

I read an article or comment section that happened to mention Ben Bailey and that he had a stand up comedy act. So here I am, searching for him on YT. I loved Cash Cab back in the day, and he always seemed like an affable guy on there. His voice and verbal cadence were easy listening. I wish him success on his present and future career plans.
